The DMD in my TZ buzzes, otherwise it looks fine. I was wondering if this could hurt the display board if I didn’t replace the buzzing display.

Essentially these plasma displays will tend to draw more current as they age, the higher current makes all the parts run hotter until they eventually fail, the thing is its very hard to predict how long it will last. There is a bright side here though as you can replace this power hungry plasma display with an LED/LCD and shutdown the entire HV section of the board by removing the two fuses.
