Can a ball be too hard for a pin?

Does it matter what it is made of?

Thanks it has nothing to do with being cheap. It's the principle of being overcharged by the dealer or they are not knowing how to facilitate better prices. I've had 2 softball bats shipped in bigger box for less than what they charge.

I would also like to hear some opinions on these balls since I'm new to the game.
