I was just contacted by a friends wife that she would like to get him a pinball machine for his upcoming birthday.
They currently own none, and don't really know much about them or what to look for when buying one.

Basically, it needs to be working great with no issues, look good, and be enjoyed for years down the road.

I am in southern AZ, so cannot really help them in their search, so was wondering if any of you had a machine for sale, or would be willing to help them look at something that may come up on Craigslist or whatever so they don't get ripped off.

I want this to be a good purchase experience for them.

You can reply here or PM me if you can help in any way.

    Thanks!
    John

Might want to extend out to the Sacramento area too. Only 1.5 hours away, and A TON of collectors here.

What are they looking to spend, and what kind of pins do they like?

Agreed. Lots more pins around Sacramento area / Nor cal area as opposed to Reno specifically.

If anything pops up around here and they need help they can contact me.

I'll contact her and ask about Sacramento/Nor-Cal area.
    Probably not an issue though.
Also forgot to ask budget (duh), but will clarify that as well.
It would be a "newer"machine they want, probably a 90's game at oldest.

I am in Reno and I buy/sell almost exclusively in Sacramento and the Bay Area (well, that has extended to Kentucky for a GnR, but I usually try not to ship). Most of the sales here in Reno are from flippers who don't do much to the games before flipping. Some will do a little, but I wouldn't trust any I have seen up here to be stable enough for someone to expect few issues. There are a few collectors here with nice stuff, but I don't see those for sale very often (and they are usually posted here).
I don't claim to be an expert by any stretch, but your friend is more than welcome to contact me.

The restorers and collectors in other areas are the best bet. I can keep an eye out once you figure out the budget and search area.
