Will be there all weekend. We likely will have a tournament on Thursday night somewhere in the Bay Area for folks that are interested in that type of stuff. Can't wait!

CAX is super fun so you'll have a blast. I think the video gamers smell worse than pinball people though
Crop dusters are always a concern. Solution: play the Whirlwind that's almost always there. No spoilers!
Also if you are around Thursday or live in the area, we're hosting a IFPA/Project Pinball charity tournament to place a pinball machine at the UCSF Children's Hospital that Thursday evening before CAX: https://www.facebook.com/events/383750198489576/
Quoted from twista22:Ill be attending for sure but I was wondering if anybody knew if I will be able to buy some new glass for my CFTBL? I was hoping to buy a sheet or 2 at PAGG but no luck
Not sure if vendors are listed on the official site but if so maybe reach out and see if they can bring glass? I think previously when Planteary was local you could order stuff for them to bring but not sure if other vendors might do that.
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:FYI I just cancelled my room reservation for Saturday night. If someone calls quick they might be able to fill my spot.
It was for 2 double beds at the show price of $109 + tax.
are you missing the show? Hope you can make it out still for part of it at least!
Quoted from Jabbles180:Id rather see a AMH over a full throttle. Stoked to see air hicksy was announced.
I'm on the list to bring my AMH to CAX provided it arrives in time. Just shot an email over to Spooky to get an ETA since they were a little behind on receiving some boards so hopefully it'll be here in time but not sure if anyone else is planning on bringing it: http://www.caextreme.org/games2015
You can see our t-shirt designs for this year's show here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/36189345338/photos/ …
they start with this one: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=804349649685952&set=o.36189345338&type=3&theater
I like the Black Knight one best (and Back to the Future since this is the year for that)
Actually depending on how you view the brand exposure, if everyone (or lots of people) have lanyards where the logo is easily seen, then in all the photos of people it'll be shown. Those get posted to FB (and here!) and reinforce that that company supports our industry etc.
So the exposure can go beyond just the actual event nowadays with so many photos etc of things. Plus the Circuit event will be broadcast and if we're all wearing NiftyLED lanyards that helps in that way too.
Addendum: my real estate is up for sale! Although usually I am wearing my own company's shirt at least one of the days, and represent Free Gold Watch as well with a league shirt on another day.
Separately: there's a POOL at CAX and a lot of fun folks will be hanging out there in between smelly pinball indoors come join us
Quoted from jfesler:Bar and restaurant details for the hotel attached to the convention center:
http://www.santaclara.hyatt.com/en/hotel/dining.html
Bar also has overpriced coffee and espresso drinks if you're a morning kind of person, and staying at the hotel.
Quoted from PinballBulbs:One of the show workers Tom is awesome. I had some issues with our ad for the program and he not just fixed it, but literally recreated it....and in like an hour.
So big thanks to Tom!! Beers on us! (and to any show organizer as well. I got the Oregon Micro brews in tow)
P.s - do they have a food/beer place in the building as well? Any good?
Yes bring some good OR beers! A lot of us pinball folks are into beer and will be having some we bring as well. Will bring some Pliny if you like And I will be making runs to the nearby In-n-Out for sustenance
Just a reminder for those of you in town Thursday! We're hosting a IFPA/Project Pinball charity tournament to place a pinball machine at the UCSF Children's Hospital Thursday evening before CAX: https://www.facebook.com/events/383750198489576/
Word on the street is that Rick Stetta may compete too (he operates some of the pins at this location as well as another pinsider).
Hope to see some of you all there to play pins for a great cause! Lots of great prizes have been donated as well! (Will try and post more details of them on the event page)
I think if you buy then maybe Sunday? I have always gone the whole time so others can probably advise you better on that side of things.
A few pix from first night of qualifying - some pretty great games including my game on Trio where I scored 1!
All the photos will be uploaded here in this gallery: http://store.orangephotography.com/p783449493

Yeah I heard from EVERYONE - go check out that WhiteWater!
And the Atari row was probably my favorite - played SO MUCH of them on Sunday.
Kingpin I decided i like way more than BBB now that I understand both more. Great times - thanks PinballBulbs for bringing so much great beer and games too. Rest assured we shared with many other folks who you might have seen walking around with Starbucks cups (cough cough)
Nice meeting Max and playing a ton of games too! All my pix have been uploaded now: http://store.orangephotography.com/p783449493
