I was dreading my Calgary-Toronto Red-eye tonight. I usually despise any extra time spent at an airport... Then I found "Flippers"!!

Nice little Arcade just past the check in area before security. It'll be no secret to Calgary Pinheads, but for this Torontonian, it was a welcome sight.

Sopranos, Elvis, High Roller Casino, Junk Yard, and LOTR. Besides LOTR (which I own), they were all games I'd never played. All seemed to be 100% working.

Thanks to whoever maintains these pins. You've made a pinhead traveler very happy. My 90 min wait FLEW by. I left games on Sopranos and Junkyard to make sure I played them all.

Thanks for the info MapleSyrup. I played some Elvis whilst waiting for my flight home. More airport pinball please.

There's actually more hidden away in another arcade in the airport, near gate 15ish. That set is Rollercoaster Tycoon, Junkyard, and Ripley's.

I had a layover there recently coming back to Japan, and it's cool. The machine needed some lightbulbs, but Heck, I've got nothing better to do.

It's one of those "Stacker" redemption games. You could win a Bluetooth headset or similar goodies.

You wouldn't be the first to leave a game of Junkyard running

When i fly home to bc i always book the extra long layover to to spend more time in calg!
Fn love it there!!

They're maintained by Southern Music, and the airport has several flippers, all with different setups. Always hit an miss with them working. Glad to see someone getting to enjoy them.

Nice! I'm often in the Calgary Airport since the Edmonton's 'International' Airport's flights have been pretty much eliminated to only a London Flight, that only runs half of the year.

I'm definitely going to seek these out the next time I'm there. Thanks for sharing!

I hear theres a great super hero line up at the edmonton airport.

If I have to fly west and have a layover , I always choose calgary , and for as long as I can get within reason ! I find the westjet wing pinball room great , the air canada side , the pins weren't working at all and some bad pins .
