Game Room Guys sent me an email last week to let me know expected delivery of my CCr SE+ is delayed from April until August. I am pretty sure the toppers are causing the delay for SE+ and LE models.

#1339 2 years ago
Quoted from jfh:

Parts supply issues for the toppers was the reason given for the initial SE run but that wasn’t why the entire schedule slid three months.
I agree with what explosiveegg posted.

So you think there is a pile of toppers in a warehouse somewhere? Lol

At least I got to play these at Pinbrew last week at the Cointaker booth. They got a topper.

Quoted from jfh:

Umm, why would there be a pile of toppers in a warehouse? The subassemblies are built separately and there is no reason to build 1500-2000+ toppers before anything else is done.
The games and toppers brought to Pinbrew and other shows are not production models.

I was joking.

Calling all Sheriffs in Cleveland, Ohio. Cactus Canyon arrived yesterday at Southland Lanes. It plays like a dream.

So Tales of the Arabian Nights is going to be the next CGC remake?

#4535 1 year ago

Sometimes I've found that gameroomguys.com has sneaky accurate info as to lead times you won't get elsewhere. Currently they show CCr SE in stock, the SE+ at 90 days

That’s been on game room guys website since at least January.

#4621 1 year ago

Why would a company that has made wood products for decades contract that out? I’d be stunned to hear that the LE aprons are made by someone other than CGC.

Aren't the arms on the Topper made of wood too?

Is what Zach Meny said about CGC production yesterday on the Pinball Show good enough information? He said that PPS was the only distributor to get games so far, that it was a very limited number of units (like 31 units total), and that Ryan from CGC was able to get Zach an LE for his personal collection by Zach agreeing that his LE could be displayed and played at Pincinnati. Zach added that the production rate should increase significantly in another 2 or 3 weeks. This information, along with the posts on here from LE owners who have received their machines, makes me believe that there still is something preventing CGC from producing units at the desired rate. I think this is a reasonable logical inference that can be made given the facts we know. If you are sitting inside a building with no windows and somebody walks in from outside wearing a wet raincoat and carrying an umbrella, you know it is raining out even if you did not see the rain and nobody told you it was raining.

Quoted from jfh:

If you are talking about order of production mix, no. Originally the plan was to run all LEs and then the SE+s but that quietly changed (not sure why/when). It’s relatively easy to switch between models on the production line because there are only a few different SKUs so it doesn’t take much time (and theoretically they can do both at the same time).
If you are talking total numbers of SE+ games - the original allocations were the same as the number of LEs (1250) but no limit was announced. However if the poll numbers can be extrapolated to the entire demand for SE+ it seems unlikely they’ll make that many or that the topper was as desirable as toppergate seemed to imply.

So maybe the SE+ will wind up being the real limited edition. Maybe worth $20k if CGC only sells 500 or fewer of them.

My brother and I had a GREAT time last night streaming this game.

Awesome stream last night, Joel! It's the best video of the the topper I have seen. The topper mode is better than I expected. I am more psyched than ever on getting my SE+. I hope that it comes sometime this year.

Just paid my invoice and got my bill of lading . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . for Elvira House of Horrors. This will be the seventh new pinball machine I ordered and received after I ordered (and paid for) a Cactus Canyon SE+ at the beginning of February last year.

Wow! I ordered an SE plus more than a year ago and I don't think it's close to shipping. Congratulations! You should buy some lottery tickets too.

Yeah, thanks for clarifying. I think it was my FOMO that started the confusion.

I might buy a Pulp Fiction in 3 years. That's when CGC will actually produce the first one, and then they will sell it to a flipper for resale. Fool me once. . .

#10816 1 year ago

It appears the stated production time for the first run of Pulp Fiction SEs is Q3 of 2023.

Have any of these shipped in the past two or three weeks? It seems like they got to about #615 and hit a stop.

How can anyone think they are going to see a PF delivered to them this year? Stern will release 4 more new titles before the Bad Mother Flipper gets out the door.

#12568 10 months ago
Quoted from LTG:

If production starts third quarter as planned, a lot of people will get them this year.
LTG : )

The third quarter of 2023 begins in 31 days and ends in about 120 days. CGC has not finished making even one half of the CCr LEs. If a lot of people get a PF this year, it can only mean that a lot of us are not getting our CCr LEs this year.

This is not an attack on CGC. As we all know, they put quality first and build the best games out there. But I think we should keep it real, especially for people who order a CGC as their first pin. That was me when I ordered my CCr well over a year ago. Fortunately, I have been able to purchase and receive some machines from other manufacturers in the meantime.

Quoted from ray3127:

FWIW, I helped a friend unbox LE #717 this afternoon (from Pinball Star). That seems like a decent jump from the highest numbers previously reported.

This is good news. Thanks for the information!

#12685 10 months ago
Quoted from Ballderdash:

Ok what’s the most recent SN delivered? Are we high 7’s... any 800’s?

Someone on here said they helped a friend set up one with a number in the low 7s, but there have not been any additional reports since then.

Howdy Partners,

For anyone like me who is still waiting for their CCr LE, I just got a message from my distributor stating that CGC is awaiting the arrival of components to complete the Limited Editions and that they are not expected to have any more LEs ready to ship until mid-August. I am still holding out some hope that I might get it within 2 years after I ordered it, but it's gonna be close.

I wonder if there will be an announcement from CGC soon about the game they are going to make after Pulp Fiction? It seems like it's about time for them to do that so we know what might be available in late 2025 or early 2026 when they finish making the Pulp Fictions.

#13247 9 months ago
Quoted from Nw55555:

Just curious- Who is still waiting on their CCRLE or SE+? I am..

I am still waiting. As previously mentioned, CGC is taking a month-long summer vacation and does not expect to make more until mid-August. I think they still have about 500 to make, so I will consider myself lucky if it gets here before 2024. But "I will forgive late," because it will be high-quality.

Quoted from Ballderdash:

+1 for waiting. Shooting for LE #1250 of 1250.

I think that’s my number. Hoping to know by Christmas.

#13748 7 months ago
Quoted from daveddd14:

Also what number are we at now a days with these new LE’s being delivered?

I'm pretty sure CGC has not produced any LE's for a couple of months. There have been some LE's delivered in Canada during that time, but I think those LE's were made more than a couple of months ago.

#13826 7 months ago
Quoted from mbeardsley:

I thought that CGC had two lines going now...one for CC and one for PF. Is that not true?

100% true according to the insiders, but that doesn't mean they are going to finish the CCr LEs or actually deliver any PFs this year. For all we know, they have a total of two people working on the two lines. I will wait regardless because the games they do produce are high quality at a reasonable price compared to the competition. It would be a lot less frustrating waiting 2 years to get a game from CGC if customers were told at the beginning that is how long it will take. As others have said, better communication from CGC would make a world of difference.

I received an update from my distributor this morning about my order for a Cactus Canyon LE. According to the update, "Chicago Gaming has projected they are going to start production again in the 4th quarter." I'm starting to doubt I will receive my LE by the end of the year.

#13942 7 months ago
Quoted from MegaFeenix:

Nice…. something too look forward to on my Pulp Fiction BMF preorder.

Yeah, it will be 2025 before any Bad Mother Flippers are delivered. I want a Pulp Fiction, but I am not going to pre-order like I did for my CCr LE. As others have pointed out, I could have had a CCr LE months ago if I had not preordered and just bought one of the many that have become available. I didn't know much about the pinball industry when I ordered my CCr LE. I thought I could trust statements made by pinball companies about when products will be delivered, like you can with normal businesses in mainstream industries. I have learned A LOT in the past 20 months. One of the things I have learned is that CGC makes some of the best games out there but it takes them 10 times longer than they say it will to complete a production run. Pinball is what it is, and you just have to roll with it.

#13957 7 months ago
Quoted from NeilMcRae:

I tell you, if this pause is to build Pulp Fiction then those who have an order for PF LE and CCR LE should get their PF first. The delays are a joke now.

No way that happens, but it would be a good idea to make LE customers a priority instead of the other way around. Like I said, get ready to wait until 2025 for the Bad Mother Flippers. I'm sure they will get some of the location and standard PF's out in 2024, most likely the second or third quarter. At the same time, I expect CGC will announce their next pin at TPF in early 2024. I know it sounds crazy, but it's exactly what happened for CCr LE. It was announced and sold out in the Fall of 2021. Yes, that's 2021. With the recent announcement, CGC has conceded that 2023 will end before they complete building the CCr LEs they announced two years ago.

Quoted from HOOKED:

Anyone know what the latest LE number is that has been delivered.
I know they do not go exactly in order but at some point they have to finish the build.
My deposit turns 2 years old within a month.

Only CGC knows the answer to this question, and they ain't talkin'. Highest number I have seen is in the high 800s, so there might be under 400 to go. I think they were at about 500 to go in June.

It finally happened today! My CCrLE has arrived. I thought for sure it was going to be number 1250, but it’s number 942. Hopefully that number provides some reason to believe that those who are still waiting will be getting their LE’s delivered soon. I thought they were still in the 800s.

Congrats! Also, nice bike in the background. Is it a Honda 600RR? I've got a 600F4i myself that I can't let go of...

Thank you! Yes, it is an OG CBR 600RR. I bought it NIB in 2003.

#14232 6 months ago
Quoted from JSC:

Did you order from planetary or someone one else? My non planetary distributor says he still hasn’t heard anything.

I ordered from Game Room Guys. I have nothing but good things to say about the way they handled everything. I never thought they knew anything they were not telling me, and I think they delivered the machines as they received them based on when they received the orders from their customers.

2 months later
#14644 3 months ago

Don't give up, Skywalker! I waited for what seemed like forever and finally got my machine in November. Because of my work schedule, I had to wait another month after that to set it up. But it was perfect when I did set it up, and I instantly felt like it was worth the wait when my wife and I started flipping it and having an absolute blast. Plus, it make take another year or more, but the new code will eventually come and make this great game even better. Hang in there!

I totally expect this sometime this year.
