I’m almost in the club! Just ordered my Cactus Canyon SE today and shipping company expects delivery next Wednesday!! Woo hoo!!! Very excited about his game. Only ever played it on my iPad. Never even seen one in the wild.

Ordered plastic protectors, train track,
shaker motor, alt translite and side art blades. Am I missing anything?

Thank you,

Quoted from Tommy-dog:

I ordered my CCrSE in October 2021 and I still don't have it.

Dang! I noticed here on Pinside in NIB market place pinballs.com had the SE in stock. I called to check if it really was in stock, paid, and they shipped it today. I know my friend has had his LE on order since the summer, and no word on him getting it. It took him a year to get his Monster Bash LE. Think the LEs are supposed to run last??? Guess the topper is the delay??

Quoted from PinDeadHead:

This looks fantastic. What color is this and what does powder coating a pin cost?

Every shop is different. My local shop that I use for all my restoration pins charges about $300 to include all side rails, coindoor, hinges, shooter housing, hardware , and legs for a metallic/pearl/etc job. Half that for just one color like gloss black etc.

Just finished setting up my Cactus Canyon SE!! Build date May 05, 2022 S/N 1647. Picked it up at the shipping location in town because they were planning on delivering it tomorrow, but I will be away supporting the Special Olympics! This game has some great sounds and what a light show!!! Installed the shaker motor that I bought from PinballLife which is nicely integrated into the game as well as the train track mod from ULEK and plastic protectors from Mezel Mods.

My daughter played a few games and the only issue was the ball had an odd bounce of Bart and got stuck at the wire gate just left of him. Looking at the pics from the original game, seems there needs to be a plastic there preventing hang ups. I should have some clear washers for plastic protectors, will see if that helps, at least that is what the old game seemed to have? Other wise, very happy with purchase. And gosh this cabinet is clean with a nice looking bottom, all plywood, not particle board as some of the older games out there.

Well done Chicago Gaming!

Success! Quick use of the heat gun and made the washer into a nice ramp. No more ball hang ups!

How many different Barts are there in the game? The default setting is 3, you can switch it to seven, but it seems you just repeat black Bart and bubba Bart until you get to bionic Bart? Or did I miss something.

Battling bionic Bart is pretty darn cool and stressful for a not so great player like myself.

Quoted from kcirrick:

I made them both by cannibalizing a cheap ($22) HO scale model purchased on Amazon. The mine cart also includes wooden coffee stir sticks and is mounted on a small spring (from an ink pen) to allow it to rock as the mine opens and closes.

Nice job on the upgrades, I keep thinking on what to add. My main focus is a fun topper, but with your ideas, maybe a train stop is on my list as well! Ho is the scale to go than?

Quoted from RebelGuitars:

Once they post the installation instructions, I’ll plug in the lantern light.

So they sell a mod ( which I’m thinking about adding) but do not include instructions? That doesn’t make sense. And there is a hook up for the lamp but no guidance on how? Kind of a bummer for a lot of money. Guess I will save my money for the time being.

I think the toy story pin will be a great shooter and has some nice touches of former Lawlor games. I loved my Wonka , miss it actually since I loved the theme and only sold it to buy another pin that actually fell through, but cactus canyon is such a fun pin that is great for the average player which is myself and most of my friends. For me, this is the pin that stays in the house next to my 1984 Space Shuttle pin. Now it’s all about mods and powder coat for me on this keeper

Speaking of powder coating, what color did you do? Is it a color from prismatic powders?? Looks cool. An overall shot of your game would be appreciated, debating on having my game powder coated but haven’t agreed on what color to do.

Finally got to and finished high noon! Took me about 5 months and 76 plays since I bought the pin new. Yes I’m an average player lol. Very happy tonight. Such a cool mode!

Was thinking of trading the game for a Mandalorian for my wife, but now, not sure. Think I might want others to experience this rush.
