Quoted from Jodester:

Here are some pics of my side art install. Looks really nice on the game.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

They look awesome. That's the same ones I bought for my CC pin from Brian Allen for when my pin finally comes in (no hurry) I have his translites for MM, AFM, and MB and I just bought the side art panels for MM and MB. There are other ones out there, but his artwork really stands out and pops and is endorsed by Williams.

Has anyone put the Mezel Mods train station, beer mug mods on their CC yet? I ordered them and they look great, but just curious how they would stand out, especially the train station possibly blocking Bart’s head. I don’t have my pin yet, but I thought I would get an early jump on the game. If so, would you mind posting a pic of the mods in your pin?

In the words of the Temptations….I ain’t too proud to beg!

Quoted from Jon9508:

Got my mirror backglass today from gameroom guys. Looks like fedex failed once again. Maybe I can get a replacement or my money back.

That would make me sad and pissed all at the same time.

Looking at other pinsiders' pinball porn pics of their new games gives me the same excitement I felt when I was a child looking at all of the cool toys in the Sears or JCPenney catalog around Christmas time. I WANT THAT AND THAT AND THAT.......

Quoted from evh347:

#98 has finally landed. FedEx did a number on the box, but the machine survived.
Had to Macgyver a little spacer to properly gap the auto-launcher, because as installed, the shooter rod was making contact with the auto-launcher and killing its momentum resulting in weak plunges. So weak that the ball wasn't making it to the skill shot maelstrom.
Build quality is just like all of the other CGC games.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Dude, your game room is awesome! What a nice collection of arcade fun. Congrats!

Quoted from Medic:

I added some mods. I bought the smaller width pinstadium neo atom and not sure I’m liking it as the plastics on the right really reflect the light. I was told to try removing the plastic protector. I removed the bottom shooter lane one which seemed to help some. Not sure I can remove the top one where the ball goes in circles as it might affect the ball trajectory. Anyone else added pinstadium?
[quoted image]

Thanks for posting this pic Medic. I bought the same mods, but I haven’t gotten my SE+ pin yet so I was curious what they would look like.

Looks good brutha!

I went ahead and ordered that Polly mod from Matt and Back Alley creations. Loving the look of the figure and the blue ramp she sits on kinda gives the impression of a waterfall color to the existing ramp.

That makes a total of 10 mods I have now for CCR + just waiting to be put into my pin. Now if I could only get the pin.

Quoted from camcamaro1991:

Hey Sheriff's, I forgot to post this on Friday for you guys from TPF 2023, enjoy!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Thanks for posting this picture. I bought the mod as well, but I haven't received it yet and I'm still waiting for the CCR+ edition to be made.

Is there a possibility you can post a picture of the Polly mod installed on your pin? I would love to see what it looks like once installed. I bought the Mezel Mods River Warning Sign and I think that sign looks a lot better than the other one and I would like to try to figure out how I could mount that Mezel sign up there instead.

Thanks in advance.

Quoted from Golgotha:

OK, I only want to ask one time. Here is my dilemma. Polly is in a blue dress pictures on the ramp (terrible cartoon), but in the video when saved on the DMD she is in a green dress. I personally think matching the back glass makes the most sense. Partially because you will see the correlation between the two. Also, in my opinion the green dress gives better contrast to the blue water.
So what do you think looks better? BLUE, or GREEN?
Personally for my game, I am matching Polly on back glass over the cartoon in combat boots. Green all the way. I want to see what you all prefer. Thanks

Tough choice, but I clearly see your point. I agree the green dress will stand out more with the blue waterfall.

I was wondering if anyone bought the Polly mod from Back Alley Creations and wouldn't mind sharing a photo of it in their pin.

I ordered one shortly before the Texas show and I'm still waiting to get it shipped to me, although I contacted Matt several times on my order. He's reliable, but now I'm wondering if they're having problems with production and if it's worth my wait because I heard some pinsiders say the figure is too big. A picture would help me immensely, so thanks in advance.

Curious if anyone has gotten one of Matt’s Polly mods from Back Alley Creations yet and what their overall thoughts\opinions are.
Pics installed would also be great if possible.

Thanks

I got mine in the mail from Matt one day last week. Wish I could show you a picture of it installed, but I haven't received my CCRSE pin yet.

However, I really like the mod and it does look good. The detail and paint apps look great and I think she's a good size as well. I can't get the picture to download on Pinside though.

She comes with a blue in color ramp cover, with some rocks and a sign. The blue plastic somehow attaches to the ramp, possibly by using the existing screws, but I can't tell. I had Matt ship my Polly mod with the rocks and the sign being loose (Polly came loose off the blue plastic as well), but I'm going to somehow incorporate Mezel Mods Falls sign because I think it looks better than Matt's sign.

Overall I think you're going to be pleased with the Polly mod and I can't wait to install it in my pin once I receive it. Took awhile to get the mod, but Matt always comes thru and responds to emails in an orderly fashion.

Just wanted to report my CCRSE+ arrived in fantastic shape from FlipNOut pinball and FedEx Express. Was able to set it up Friday night and installed about 100 pounds of mods from Mezel, Back Alley Creations and Flyland Designs on it and I'm soooo happy with the pin and it's build. The Topper is so cool, which even caused my wife (who is not a pinhead) make the comment it was her favorite topper and the people who I had to come over and play it recently really loved the game play of the pin. Top Notch.

I had the original CC years ago and sold it for some stupid reason. It was recently rebuilt with a new playfield, cabinet art, LEDs, etc and was filmed by Zach for his pinball channel back in the day. When I sold it I sold it to Zach and I heard that pin was eventually sold to CGC in order for them to use it as a prototype to use to tear down and "study" in order to help reproduce the pin as it was originally built. That pin is forever gone and I heard a rumor that the original Bart's head is sitting in one of the CGC's management offices as a momento from the original CC that was produced back in the day. Now I feel my CC has "returned it's full circle" with the beautiful remake coming back to my mancave.

I can't wait for the updated code by Lyman Sheets and Zach Sharpe to finally hit the market. I really enjoyed Eric Priepke's (apologize for spelling if I'm wrong) Continued programming that he did for the original CC. I loved the super skill shot mode (with the various modes paying homage from other great Bally/Williams pins), Cowboys vs Aliens mode, Rudy from Funhouse being a Bart brother, the female bart brother, the fart and beans mode and the drunk reverse flippers in the game and I'm hoping these modes will appear back again in this remake. C'mon Zach, give us just a little morsel to please the hungry masses.

Again, thanks to Zach, FedEx, and the design team at CGC for remaking this pin. It was delivered just in time for Father's Day and it made the weekend that more memorable for me. Fun Times!

#12891 10 months ago
Quoted from ifpapinball:

Yep!
Just like the other Bart Bros, wherever you drained is where you pick up on the next ball.

Can you confirm this one as well?

I LOVED the Super Skill Shot Mode on the CC Extended version, especially the tribute mode where you hit the shot and get many modes from Bally/Williams classics such as TAF,CV, MB, etc). I loved this mode and thought it was an EXCELLENT tribute to the classics from the last produced pinball machine from those companies.

Oh, one last one. Will Rudy and the female Bart character make an appearance in the new update? You hurt me kicking out Cowboys vs Aliens, but you can make it up to me including the features mentioned above.

Pretty please with sugar on top!!

#12907 10 months ago
Quoted from ifpapinball:

LOL no the tribute modes referencing other random Bally/Williams games, some with 3rd party licensing requirements have nothing to do with the world that Lyman and I built up in "our" Cactus universe.

Again, Rudy fits nowhere in "our" Cactus universe, but Bella Bart absolutely does because she exists in the universe as shown on the backglass.
Our time was spent on things like trying to come up with a story for the guy on this plastic (picture attached), and a rule that could support the existence of this person in this Cactus Canyon world that lies underneath the playfield glass. Our time was not spent having the King of Payne drop in and have some kind of Joust battle with the Sheriff, or for the Monsters of Rock band to come play a tribute concert in the town hall.
We understand that these kind of pinball related easter egg stuff referencing other games hits the pinball nerd fan service button hard, but that's not the direction we went with this project. Our goal was to build upon the Cactus Canyon world that Matt Coriale, John Youssi, Tom Kopera, Rob Berry and company created out of their own minds. To us Cactus was a "licensed property" because we didn't create this world, the OG design team did. We're just here to honor their vision and hopefully take it to a level that the OG design team will be super proud of.[quoted image]

Thanks so much for the quick response. Even though some of the answers hurt my feelings (okay okay I was a little bummed), but from the sound of things I understand the route you and Lyman was going and it sounds very interesting indeed.

So glad at least drunk multiball will make an appearance and the female Bart character will show up to cause some hijinks. I’m not only interested in the different modes, but also excited about seeing the cool animations that will accompany the new modes and gameplay.

As stated before I don’t know why I sold my CC Continued pin, but was relieved once I found out about CGC making it again. I wanted the additional goodies the remake would have over the original including the upgraded display, LED light show and the oh so beautiful topper, but the one thing that pushed me to open my wallet was the plan of the gameplay and code finally being finished and faithfully brought back to its original intention. So for that I say THANK YOU!

Hey fellas, just a quick question.

I’m hardly getting any action in the pop bumper area. Is there something in the menu where I adjust the pop bumper strength to be a little more sensitive? Where is it in the menu section?

And please keep the Viagra jokes to a minimum.

#12917 9 months ago
Quoted from SimplePin:

Lots of posts in this thread. Mine was the same way. There is a sling below the two pops. My gaps were two close. Switch gap tool is your friend.

I’m a dumb bunny because I’ve never heard of a switch gap tool. It sounds like it would fix my issue.

#12920 9 months ago
Quoted from SimplePin:

My sincere apologies. I've always called it that. I guess it's a switch adjuster tool.

I love my CCR, but like others I just don’t understand what is taking so long in releasing the updated code as well. I understand with the unfortunate passing of Lyman it would delay it, since I would think he was the mastermind behind it all, but I would think by now the ball would have started rolling by now.

Stern released a ton of code for their pinball machines since then and Spooky releases an update every couple of weeks for Scooby with fixes usually within 24 hours. I would think the new code update for CCR would push the sales even further, something CGC would welcome.

It was a long wait, but the pin and its build is worth it. The big selling point with producing CCR was to finish up and update the code that the original didn’t have or couldn’t produce because of Williams closing down their pinball production (we all know that story) and it’s one of the reasons I bought CCR was in hopes of seeing the finished product and what was possibly intended for the game to show.

Maybe I’m wrong on this and hopefully someone could correct me on this, but wasn’t something said in the past that money would be donated to the family of Lyman from sales of the pin or the updated code work, or am I way off base on this?

#13481 8 months ago
Quoted from jackd104:

The code in the game now is the finished form of the original intent of Williams. The upcoming Lyman/Josh update is an enhancement beyond that.

Okay, I didn’t know that since I never got the chance to play the original version.

I bought an original CC awhile back and had a buddy of mine refurbished right even before I could put my greedy fingers on it to play it. Prior to the pin’s arrival, my buddy installed the CC Continued code on it and I played a lot of cool things on it, but I didn’t really know for sure what was new and what was added, with some I guessed.

I know on the shootout mode of CGCs CC (the one with the multiball and the stand up targets constantly pop up after you knock of them down to restrart) was mode I don’t recall seeing in the Continued mode and it was a blast.

Still waiting to challenge that female Bart “brothers” and to get a round in with the drunk multiball I suppose.

Thanks for answering my question.

Okay, I guess I'm really confused. But here is what I understand is going to happen......

I was under the understanding when CCR was first announced the biggest thing with the purchase of this pin was going to be the updated and expanded code that will help finish and polish the game that was never truly finished because of the production of pinball was going to be ceased.

That much I know is true, so here we go......

At first I thought it was going to be free to anyone who initially purchased the pin, but it was later found you would have to pay for the update. I recall the initial rumor was going to be a small fee (probably around $25.00 bucks), but that was only because of the untimely death of Lyman and the money for the update will be gathered and given to Lyman's family as a gift to honor the man for all of the work he has done for this community.

The newest code will "maybe" having parts of the CC continued code in it (NO Cowboys vs Aliens mode), but will be original that will include Boss Betty, drunk multiball (backwards flippers which is awesome) and fart and beans according to one of the posts Zach Sharpe (ifpapinball) was gracious enough to tease us with. Zach also stated the developers of the code wants to import the impression of you, the player, coming into town as a stranger, something along the lines of a character drawn on the playfield that looks like he came in on a stagecoach.

The added hardware is anyone's guess, but again I recall hearing the rumor of some type of saloon doors something in the lines of what Mageek currently is selling and maybe it will be programmed to be more interactive with the gameplay. So now with Zach's latest tease it looks like the topper will be incorporated more into the gameplay element of the pin.

I love my CGC CCR and it's bolted to my floor. I owned the original CC and loved it, especially with Eric Priepke (apologies if I spelled his name wrong) CC continued code work into the game. Honestly, I SUCK at pinball and I view myself as a below average player, so you know it's pretty bad if I can beat a pin like a did with the original CC without no extended code. I recall even Zach stated they (the developers of CCR) had a hard time believing Pinside listed CC as a top 5-10 pin on the Pinside Top 100 pins, especially with the low code input. I loved my CC Continued and hated selling it because I missed it afterwards, so I jumped at the chance to get the CGC version because of the understanding the updated code will put this version WAY over the top of what the original and CCC versions had on them. I know the CGC version had a little more elements added to it from the original at release, but it was still too short.

I don't mind spending the money and I spend a TON of money modding my pins because that's the way I roll. However, I'm still hoping the price isn't going to be too bad in order to get this newest code. My point is this....Can you imagine buying a Stern pin (or any other manufacturer) with the release code and having to drop more bucks on every update that comes along? Yikes! And you thought people complained when Stern released modes you could only play when you purchase their toppers!

Am I being impatient? I don't think so. As a customer I do have the right to ask about the update once in awhile, especially if you consider how long we've been waiting. I would rather read about updates and questions about gameplay of the game more than anything else on this or any other owner's forum.

So, please feel free to correct me on any of the rumors I listed above.

#15263 24 days ago

Ouch on the possible price, but as always I appreciate the update sir.

#15265 24 days ago

One last thing. Do you think it will be downloadable, or a new chip that needs to be inserted?

#15267 24 days ago
Quoted from Damonator:

Software development costs money. They've had a team working on this for 2+ years - I don't expect that to be free.
CCr is a finished game (unlike the original CC), so CGC isn't obligated to make this upgrade and CCr owners aren't obligated to buy it. It's an optional purchase.
I'll also point out that CCC wasn't a free upgrade either - it was an add on cost to the original CC.
My guess is $200-$500 which I'll be fine paying.

I understand that because I spent over $1000 bucks to get the hardware and software in order to get the CC Continued update for my pin at the time, so that is why I was asking about the price.

At first I thought the "upgrade" was included in the original price of the CGC remake and that is what I stated in my original post and that everybody who ordered the pin was going to get this update once it was completed, so I stand corrected. I didn't know the update they were talking about was the add-ons included in the code upon release and I got the (2) mixed up.

#15270 24 days ago
Quoted from ifpapinball:

Lyman and I were brought in to finish up Cactus based on the plan/intentions of the original design team. That version is what everyone is getting when they purchase a Cactus remake from CGC (either SE, SE+ or LE).
Lyman and I were interested in going 'beyond that', creating almost a v2.0 of this game that is built on top of the original design team's concepts. This upgrade kit is CGC allowing Lyman and I to go a little nuts on the design side, adding new hardware, adding new software (bunch of new modes and extending content of some of the existing modes/features in the game, adding new audio, adding new art.
(I'm also not Zach )

D'OH!

I told you I was confused.

#15272 24 days ago

I figured I would stand in front of the firing line to ask some questions about this code update, but it was worth it. Screw that cigarette, I want to look the men in their eyes when they're about ready to fire those guns!!

Still excited to see what the updated code will bring to the table.

Sorry for the mix-up Josh, but I have a twin brother so I get people confused when they see us together as well.

Would it help if I told you I watch the documentary on your father's life and I really enjoyed it. I mean, I am talking about the same guy, right?
