You can say that again!
Quoted from jfh:The industry and customer base is far greater than the Pinside universe. We are really a different breed here.
Unfortunately when manufacturers do give us more info and something gets delayed they tend to get slammed so they may see it as a no-win situation. That is frustrating for the reasonable people here, especially those with orders in.
This is a good point and I agree, but I also think that if there is a significant delay then the right thing to do is to pass on the info even though you may get slammed.
Quoted from Krupps4:if there is a significant delay then the right thing to do is to pass on the info even though you may get slammed.
Absolutely.

Would appreciate a summary from anyone who watches.

The website and thread is showing 3:30 PST for the Cactus Canyon presentation

You say the industry is greater than Pinside, and that's true, but we are the largest single grouping. Based off available data, Pinside members represent at least 25 percent of the buyers/owners. Take Godzilla LE, over 400 pinsiders have it listed in their collections, out of 1000 total produced.
Now if we assume LE buyers are somewhat more likely to be on Pinside than other buyers, then 25 percent of all buyers being on Pinside seems perfectly reasonable.
So Pinside is a large portion of the Pinball audience for sure.

So far about 98% identical to the Texas presentation

Quoted from Pinballer73:Hopefully the Q&A may reveal some new information/LE production start/ship date.
Let's hope he actually does that this time. My first question is "When is Richard getting his game?"
Quoted from Only_Pinball:Let's hope he actually does that this time. My first question is "When is Richard getting his game?"
I thought Richard said CGC already told him it's out of their hands. It's on Canada now to accept the games into the country.
Quoted from sizzler747:It's on Canada now to accept the games into the country.
CGC can smuggle one in then! Time to think outside the box.
Quoted from Only_Pinball:Still dont have all the topper parts!
I heard the same thing, but that was only one example. Sounds like its gonna be a while before they start shipping LE's
Quoted from PtownPin:Sounds like its gonna be a while before they start shipping LE's
I'm pretty bummed out. The wait goes on....
Quoted from Only_Pinball:Still dont have all the topper parts! They basically have NO idea when LE will start.
Yeah when my distributor sent out a email in May saying they hope to hear something by August for the LE, that sounds like its pretty accurate now.
Quoted from Pinballer73:Hopefully the Q&A may reveal some new information/LE production start/ship date.
WTF…who was the event broadcaster and why did he shut down the CGC rep from showing more pics of cool production stuff at the end after questions.
Who does that?
Quoted from kapaun:What a bummer at the end lol: "I have extra slides that are really cool" host: "no thanks"
haha - yea, i was like aaaaaaargh! WTH!
Very grateful to Butch to give his time on a weekend. Really disappointed that it appears not a lot has changed since the Texas presentation in relation to LE production. It maybe sometime before they start rolling off the line.

Almost as bad as the two year wait on MMRLE
I remember having to wait for over 2 years for my MMrLE
Quoted from Only_Pinball:Still dont have all the topper parts! They basically have NO idea when LE will start.
When I put my deposit down on Day 1, I figured I wouldn't see my LE until summer 2023. This is my 3rd remake from CGC. Nothing surprises me at this point.
Quoted from MaxIsDead:Confirmed topper not available separate to add to SE. If you want topper then get SE+
This is not new. They have said this from day one.
Quoted from Only_Pinball:This is not new. They have said this from day one.
I know. But it’s weird. Why not sell more?
Quoted from jfh:The industry and customer base is far greater than the Pinside universe. We are really a different breed here.
Meh - we're the easy ones relative. Just remember all the threads when noobs come into the hobby and expect sellers and companies to act like a normal consumer product company... free returns, big warranties, customer support, availability, etc.
Most people when they spend big bucks - they expect some time in return for their purchase. We hobbyists are the ones that know the roots of commercial operation - not consumer retail.
Quoted from jfh:Unfortunately when manufacturers do give us more info and something gets delayed they tend to get slammed so they may see it as a no-win situation. That is frustrating for the reasonable people here, especially those with orders in.
Another meh - this is hiding from the problem instead of embracing transparency. The biggest problem is distortion and hearsay.. which is best addressed by direct, clear statements that are clarified if needed. CGC instead takes the 'secretive' approach to everything because they think it's better. I say Boo that man
Quoted from MaxIsDead:I know. But it’s weird. Why not sell more?
To drive sales and demand for 'exclusive'/limited kinds of titles of course. You undercut your own demand generation if you water down exclusivity after the fact.

That makes sense when it was just the LE. But now that there is the SE+ it doesnt matter. Might as well sell more toppers.
Call me crazy, but if it's really just the toppers holding up production of LEs, why not just start building them and then ship the toppers separately once they have parts? I get that shipping would cost more that way, but I assume that most people waiting for LEs would rather have the game and wait on the topper.
I'm in for an SE+ so I'm not expecting my game any time soon, but I would personally rather get the game and wait for the topper.

This +100. Send the fucking games out. Send the toppers later. You’re holding up people’s money CGC.
Agreed. If the delay is just parts for the toppers, build the games and ship the toppers later.
After watching the Butch's presentation at the Texas show, I was really looking forward to today's at the NW show. Only to find I'd heard most of it months before. The production line photos were appreciated. Just wish there was more positive news to share about production.

Or at least give people the option of shipping the LE now without a topper and receiving the topper later or wait until both can ship at the same time.

If history means anything CGC won't do it (probably to save on shipping)....there were the same rumors on AFMRLE and MBRLE
Quoted from Pinballer73:Agreed. If the delay is just parts for the toppers, build the games and ship the toppers later.
Will you pay the extra freight?

I highly doubt the only thing their waiting for is topper parts.

They seem to be getting out the SE's just fine and can now be bought with immediate shipping or pick up from a bunch of dealers.

Whilst I agree. That was Butch's response when asked about LE production.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:Will you pay the extra freight?
Yep, I would pay the extra freight
