Quoted from ifpapinball:

I literally just showed something? While it's only a display screenshot, it's from a mode that doesn't exist in the game that is currently available.
I've heard rumors that nobody will buy this thing if it's over $250 . . .
IMO there's always room in the market for GREAT. Our intent is to meet Lyman and my own expectations for this thing when we started. If we're able to do that (and I think we will), wherever this thing lands in whatever market it shows up in will be fine with me.
I wouldn't count on any game play video until the trailer drops in 2027?

Thanks for the screenshot - I think we all appreciate your updates! ( not all pinsiders have the best interweb manners). I don’t play CC much anymore since I’ve finished it a few times. I’m holding onto the game just so I can experience the new code - hoping for early summer!!!!!!

It's pretty much early summer now.

Quoted from PtownPin:

my guess is you guys want to convert as many owners as possible so it needs to be reasonable considering the market is in a free fall.

I actually have on my to-do list:

- Confirm business plan with PtownPin before making public announcement

If you see a DM from me asking to join the zoom call regarding pricing just make sure you're available.

That’s some solid snark. But really, between us, when is the planned release date.

Quoted from ifpapinball:

Things actually continue to be worked on. Slow and steady wins the race . . .
[quoted image]

And if there is anything CGC has proven in that race…is that they are slow. And no communication.

#15506 3 months ago

The wait has been long but I think it will be worth it. ifpapinball seems dedicated to making this upgrade the best it can be.

Just between us two, nobody else reading this ... I felt it was going to land this summer. If that ends up slipping I'd say this fall.

I believe that follows the company motto:

"slow, no communication, quality products".

#15509 3 months ago

This game is already one of the best deals for a new game. Hoping this new code really makes it compete with the other 3 CGC remakes.

#15510 3 months ago

Good news is that I will probably have the code by the time my LE ships. I specifically requested 1250 a long time ago, so patience is key.

Dang it - I hate it when I miss the free fall prices. When did this happen? Yesterday? Overnight? Not one of you texted me about the free fall prices!

Everything in the market today looks like normal prices - crap!

OG Monster Bash went from $9800 to $8900 over the last week. Listing still active.

#15515 3 months ago

Don’t worry there is still a $8700 STTNG available in the market.

#15516 3 months ago

I’m still having plenty of fun with my CC LE. Happy to wait for a quality finished upgrade

...oh wait, I just sold a HUO OG MB for $8500 6 months ago. Dang it!

I've heard rumors that nobody will buy this thing if it's over $250 . . .

I'd be in well over that. I mean with what I paid for the CGC color dmd upgrade chip years back it is kinda expected.

$250 is laughable. It will be quite a bit more.

Just my opinion here:

Some people pay $500 - $1000 dollars in "visual" modifications on this title (Side armor is $300, speaker inserts $40, mine cart, tracks, saloon doors $100, mirrored back glass $300+ and so forth). While these do make the games more attractive to look at, these mods do nothing to change the actual game play/rules nor do they add any additional objectives/modes.

This is new code (and likely hardware) that expands upon the gameplay itself that Lyman had direct input for it's design. This will add new depth and challanges to an already awesome game. If I have $1000 to spend on upgrades to my machine, I would much rather spend the entire amount on the new code (and hopefully new hardware too) rather than $1000 on mods that only make the machine look better. This is coming from someone who has already purchased a mirrored backglass and some other mods.

It wont be cheap.

I mean a Big Mac is $8 these days in some markets...

Just let me know ifpapinball and I’ll join the link. $250 seems too low if it’s software and hardware. Despite the empty threats on this thread saying otherwise.

And any true Cactus Canyon fan should want exactly that.

What you have done to shepherd the original vision you and Lyman had through an unfathomable shock and unexpected resource demands is remarkable. Your Dad effectively saved pinball a generation ago. You’re honoring one of the nicest and most talented pinball people of this generation I’ve met in 30 years in the best and probably most difficult way possible. An incredibly Sharpe follow up. Lesser men would have given up long ago.

#15526 3 months ago

I won’t be selling with or without new code. It’s my wife’s favorite game. I hardly play it when we play together because she is always on it. I play Halloween the most.

#15527 3 months ago

Will see what is added and how much deeper the code is before I put a price on it. Too much and CGC can suck it. IMO, I bought their game at a pretty hefty price already so there should be some discount for that.

lol.

Priced a Stern game with their ho-hum toppers in the last couple years? CGC is hard to beat when looking at relative value/$.

This product will literally only be available to people that previously bought the game, so discounted price for all buyers?

(Technically I guess someone could buy the kit without the game and just have a box that sits there and does nothing, but I wouldn't recommend that as a purchasing strategy)

Sure, not so much discount per se, just not a bend me over and how do ya like that price.

I don't believe CGC has ever executed a "bend me over and how do ya like that price" pricing model (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that one).

Seems over the years they've always been extremely fair, focusing on providing a ton of value to people that buy their product, while still making sure they can generate enough profit to keep their business moving forward.

#15532 3 months ago

Yep I hear ya. Let’s keep it that way.

#15533 3 months ago

I'll be sure to invite you to the pricing Zoom call as well to make sure CGC doesn't make the wrong decision on this one . . .

#15534 3 months ago

Please do. I would like to say a word or two.

Engaging, or providing little info and putting long term customers down with snarky comments.?
Perhaps no communication is the better way to go!
Or learn how to communicate like BOF does.

Eventually this will be done . This has been made clear...

I enjoy receiving it as much as I do giving it.

I've learned so much about how to run a business from the armchair quarterbacking on Pinside, it should qualify as an accredited university at this point

Still hanging on to the owners thread just so you can keep bitching and moaning even though you sold a year ago. Classy

The real question, will the new rules be savage enough to break into your top 3?

For real? I didn’t realize this. Why troll this thread if you don’t even have the game? Pinside is negative enough without bonus negative.

I searched the tread a bit and did not find the info, can anyone tell me who is now working on polishing Josh/Lyman's code and vision. Who is there on staff person for coding? Thanks

Sam Zehr is working on the code, Jay Powell on the display artwork and Rob Berry on the music/sound/speech.
