Looking forward to my LE
Quoted from Heavyk:Hoping that some one makes a mod for the train tracks to look like the LE. *cough* looking at Tmezel
Same, that's something I really liked on the LE. The rest of the things i want, I can do myself (powder coat, art blades, shaker)

Wooden apron…

Its nice, but i'm OK without that. The things I want are art blades, shaker, train tracks, maybe powder coat. Maybe.

I'm in the same boat. You can purchase a shaker and art blades. Don't get me wrong I think powder coating is awesome, but I'm not sure where to go and how much it would actually cost to get everything done. So really the only thing is for a modder to make the train tracks look like the LE and that would be perfect!
“World of glass” mod ideas (love/hate that term haha)
A badass high quality bronco/horse mod for the L orbit would probably be worth the creator’s time. Backalley?
A raft would be cool too
Star badge decals for tops of the dome covers would be simple and cool too.
All I know so far is
I’ll be getting yellow flippers, green bands to go with the Laseriffic/CoinTaker yellow green cactus flipper toppers.
Love modding home games

Train tracks, yup, gotta have those pardner.

Once I have a machine in house, I may even get impatient and see what the local hobby shop has to offer as far as tracks go. I know Hobby Town has a truck load of different sizes and styles. Maybe an easy mod can be had that way. Perhaps anyway.
Quoted from Heavyk:Do you just buy standard B/W flippers to replace the ones on a CGC game?
Yes. The whole mech is B/W parts.

It has been done with the original and the one that I saw turned out really well. And there is at least one person who took an HO engine (not sure of actual scale) and gutted it to replace the plastic train. I’d probably go that route if I used model railroad tracks.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Ryan White today who was very helpful regarding another topic.
I did ask him when we could expect to see LEs hit the street. He indicated they will produce 500 SEs before transitioning to LEs which is something he had previously stated publicly. He said as of today around 20 SEs have been produced and they are slowly ramping up production.
I played the original CC again last week and I find it a ton of fun and I think the finished code and late Lyman’s code will put this pin over the top.

Awesome news! Sounds like most early SE buyers will probably get their machine in the first run then.

This would likely put the start of LE production around the last week of April meaning we should start to see them around mid-May finishing around September or October, so the SE+ folks are looking at Thanksgiving.
The 20 number sounds low though if Hemisphere already has 8.
Quoted from Heavyk:Will they produce all the LEs before they move to SE+?
I would assume yes however we did not discuss.
Quoted from Heavyk:Will they produce all the LEs before they move to SE+?
That’s my assumption based on past comments.
The entire allotment of 1250 LEs has been sold. Makes sense they would change the production line once after the initial SE run and produce them all before changing the line back to SE/SE+ models again. Can you imagine the uproar from some if SE+ games hit the street before LEs?

That makes sense. So it should be a while before the SE+ comes out maybe I have time to get another game
Quoted from Heavyk:That makes sense. So it should be a while before the SE+ comes out maybe I have time to get another game
There’s nothing special about the SE+ other than it just comes with the same topper box the LE does so you could also make the case to have some of the initial SEs be SE+s to ramp up topper production going into the LEs. (I’m assuming there is/will be a subassembly line running toppers independent of games).
But either way, seems like there would be time to get a new game.
Quoted from PinDeadHead:He said as of today around 20 SEs have been produced and they are slowly ramping up production.
You're telling me there are at least 20 games out there in the wild and somehow there isn't a single unboxing video yet...
Quoted from explosiveegg:You're telling me there are at least 20 games out there in the wild and somehow there isn't a single unboxing video yet...
Well, if true and most of those games are going to distributors for showroom placement (like GAP), that’s not terribly surprising. That also explains no reports of anyone with a preorder getting a final invoice. But that should change quickly. We’ll see an unboxing before the end of the month.
And produced <> shipped.
Quoted from explosiveegg:You're telling me there are at least 20 games out there in the wild and somehow there isn't a single unboxing video yet...
He said 3-4 games produced earlier this week, which were picked up at the factory by a distributor, and one of those we saw unboxed in a post yesterday. Then around 20 more produced, not necessarily distributed, so those are likely sitting in the factory.
Quoted from nedry:Are they still doing the paid upgrade code later? Or is that included out of the box?
No change from what's been announced. The paid upgrade will come later. It's still called a paid upgrade therefore it doesn't come with the game and if you want it, you will have to pay for it. Price and content has not been announced yet either.
Quoted from nedry:Are they still doing the paid upgrade code later? Or is that included out of the box?
There’s an FAQ in the first post
And this question is a really faq
I’m working hard to make it as complete and accurate as possible and will be updating it as we have new info and details on the game. I’ve moved that question to the top of the Options and Modifications section.
In case it isn’t clear, the optional kit including code designed/developed by Josh and Lyman WILL be released.
Pricing, kit details, and availability have not been announced.
I’ve been asked about playfield protectors and will update that answer as soon as I know.

Do we who is we require purchase through the distributor for the update code kit or directly from CGC
Should we reach out to our distributors now or hold until we get the LEs n possession first
Thoughts ??
Quoted from TheCnyPinGuy:Thoughts ??
Most likely through your distributor or Planetary Pinball Supply.

Distributors aren’t going to have any idea until this is officially announced by Chicago Gaming.
PLEASE don’t bug them until it has. This is no SKU yet; there is nothing for them to order!
I will update the FAQ as soon as official details are known and I’m sure the threads will blow up too.
Quoted from polishedball: just getting back into the hobby 3 years ago after a decade away
It's a little more intense now, wear shoes.
TL;DR: Please do not call, write, email, pm or text anyone at Chicago Gaming or Planetary Pinball (unless they are your distributor) asking when your game will be built or when it will be shipped.

I will add some version of this to the FAQ but for those who have ordered CCr as their first game or have never pre-ordered a NIB game before the process is a bit different than buying a game from dealer stock.
When you order a game from a dealer/distributor you are on their list (typically in order and/or deposit receipt time). These details aren’t used by CGC to create some master order list so there isn’t a “slot” for your game to get built. No one at GCG is going to know when a specific game is built who the end buyer for that unit is. (There is some coordination done for special orders like matching serial numbers).
Each dealer will have allotment(s) of games determined by CGC in the build process. Most dealers don’t get their entire allotment in one shipment and CGC determines the distribution of each batch of games ready to be shipped. This is generally done to distribute games across multiple dealers, especially in an initial production run. Dealers do not know weeks/months in advance when they are getting games and may have their expected allocation cut short.
It is up to the dealer to decide how they allocate received games to their customers. Some do it based on customer relationship, order position and/or whoever pays in full first. Dealers are prohibited by CGC from collecting an individual’s balance due more than two weeks before ship date so it’s a pretty safe bet that you will have your game about two weeks after you have made final payment. Don’t wait once you get your invoice!
(If any dealer/distributor would like to add detail, it would be appreciated)

If you make an unboxing video. I'll watch it

My distributor only bought 3 or each model
and literally 2 blocks away from CGC
I know that means nothing but
Hoping for the best

There was previously posted in the FAQ.
GAP also posted a higher quality video (also in the FAQ) though the one you posted is longer and shows the completion of High Noon.
As we get more game play videos I’ll boost the better ones in the FAQ. I’m also hoping to see some more from ZMeny soon.
Quoted from jfh:OK. Where’s Lloyd’s game?
Nothing definite yet.
I did have a very nice Pinsider offer to let me have his game that he is getting next week. I thanked him and declined.

Somebody get LTG a game before pinside blows up with a “boycot cgc” thread like what happened to JJP!! (Jkjk, but cmon Cgc! Doug_Duba )
Seriously if he can’t help me tech support this thing when it arrives, where’s the fun in that?

We only received a couple from this small run. By the time we received ours there was already a gameplay video up so I figured there’s no rush for us to open one and sent it out to a waiting customer. Appreciate you enjoying our videos though! Hopefully we will get some video of new releases this quarter.

I certainly understand you getting the game to a customer but hope you will be able to do a gameplay/features video in the style of the teaser. The quality of and professionalism of your videos far exceeds anything else we are likely to see.

Don't worry about needing tech support. PPS/CGC remakes are pretty well built.
