Quoted from Ballderdash:

Ok now tell us about the Emmy(s)!

Recently retired from NBC Sports. After 35 years being on the road as a camera op, I've been fortunate enough to work on some cool events. 15 Winter and Summer olympics, Super Bowls, NBA Finals, Triple Crowns, US Opens and Sunday Night Football, along with many other events. Received my 10th Emmy after my last event with NBC Sports after last years Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium. Been quite a ride but glad I don't have to get on a plane every week anymore!!

Awesome thanks! What is a lightening container?

it's a white plastic molded casing that fits on the backside of the backglass. It contains the lights. You'll see when you pull the backglass out.

That sounds like quite the career. Fun but lots of travel. Enjoy retirement and congratulations on the awards!

After the first 500 Pulp Fictions

For Canada still awaiting the UL approval, told that they should ship 3rd quarter this year...
No UL no shipping , so back to waiting.

We are so frigged then if we are waiting on any kind of government approval with the way our guys work here on behalf of us peasants

Mirrored looks nice but I prefer Brain Allen alternate translite.

Thats why there are options.
For me I appreciate Brian's artwork, but it's WAY too dark for the game in my opinion.

If not mistaken, do believe it's approval done on the other side of border.

they haven't even started working on the programming, graphics, call outs, etc. I'm sure it will be a big improvement, but its anyones guess on if/when it will be ready. It's nice that the architect of the new code updated the community as CGC has been silent on the issue....I know big shocker

This statement is NOT TRUE.

There has been plenty of work done, plenty of work fully completed, tons of programming specific to this update done, tons of graphics specific to this update done, tons of callouts specific to this update done . . . all already integrated into the game that I'm fortunate to be able to play and enjoy in my basement.

HOWEVER, there are still things left on our list to be implemented that require programming, graphics, call out work, etc. to be done before this thing is "done done".

Oh my apologies ... thanks for clarifying...I got a different impression...any idea when this might hit the streets?

That’s great to know because I’ve been trying to decide on getting cactus or Deadpool lately.

How about a video of some potential awesomeness?
I got all excited just thinking about it.

There will be plenty of time to pick up a Cactus down the road if this update content speaks to you after you get a chance to see it.

Was testing out my new printer and next thing I knew I had 4 barrel cup holders complete and ready to ship. PM if you’d like one.

I see reading comprehension is still not a strong skill for you.

Josh was talking about the upgrade kit which has not yet been officially announced.

The problem with that for all you trolls is that there won’t be anything to complain about when the upgrade is ready to ship on announcement day though I know as the self-declared winner of biggest asshole in the thread that you’ll give your best shot.

He’s not the biggest a-hole in this thread…

#12082 4 months ago

No offense to anyone but I see no way in planet earth that this will be ready to ship when announced. No way no how. Code part yeah sure the physical game part nope.

And I am not saying this to bash CGC just stating my opinion based on track record.

Ship the games .. ship the the upgrade when done ... it's over , guessing you will have nothing to do but FAQ yourself

Reading comprehension is not at issue.

The upgrade kit HAS been announced. Simply adding the word "officially" as if to explain that you are right and we can't comprehend is pretty weak.

Dude, we get it…you ordered your game & haven’t gotten it yet, that sucks. CGC timelines have sucked as well……enjoy your other machines in the meantime or cancel your order, get your deposit & move on.

Some issues with the mine sensor, LTG quick to help as usual, sent over a pdf to help, and once we took it out and wiped the sensor off it was almost perfect.

Now I did have enough ceiling height but the topper is a little obstructed, seems like a new project will be coming!

Seeing this one a lot.

All of the information from the PDF is in the FAQ.
The request to link the actual pdf was never answered so I put the actual info in the FAQ.

It’s great that Lloyd sends out the PDF but let him do the real support work and not administrative stuff

Look under Physical Adjustments / Inductive Sensors in post #2

(Maybe I’ll create a new section just for stuff from support docs)

We had Josh on Triple Drain this week and he actually discussed the expanded code a bit as well as the new mech (kind of). You can hear that here starting around 1 hour 14 minutes in.

The details about the greater emphasis on risk/reward scoring is really great. A new mech is fun and all, but this pivot in scoring is likely much more impactful to gameplay.

Gunfights being worth 750k are for the birds. Lyman's best on his game was over 100mil.

Im having issues with mine shaft raising and lowering randomly so would think my sensor needs cleaning like yours. which sensor did you remove and clean ? could you post a picture Thanks

It was the sensor not the shaft raising and lowering that sounds like something different.

BS8, from underneath.

I find it interesting that Josh does not have the new hardware in his machine. How much, if any, code can there be for this device to this point, particularly from Lyman?

There's a ton of programming done virtually these days. Lyman had a ton of upgrade code ready to roll before he ever got a physical machine.

Virtually placing any additional devices and switches related to them in the program was easy.

(Think virtual pinball and how people are able to code entire machines that don't actually exist)

It appears my concern was unfounded, or at least potentially so. I imagine it would depend on when the hardware concept was finalized.

Let's go with "a long ass time ago".

That was actually the first part of the design process for us so we could then focus on rules design and how those rules choices had to behave with this additional hardware.

I welcome people to continue to be as concerned about this project as they wish ... Besides timing in wanting to just get this done there's nothing else about this project that concerns me one bit.

I listened to this on a long drive yesterday. Josh was awesome. Loved how he stood up for himself and others on the tourney scoring. Then did a great job with the code status update. I loved that he was pretty matter of fact that the code will be done when it’s done, and if you don’t like it you can do it yourself. It’s exciting to see what he’s doing. joelbob I’m getting an LE in large part because of your gushing about it and I’m now even more excited with ifpapinball code coming. If it sucks im blaming y’all.
