Quoted from Teknotoyz:

Picked up a CCr LE # 397 last week.
One thing that irritates me on the shaker is that I like it to just move the pin, not be some jackhammer trapped in a pinball.
Factory settings don't slow it enough for me, if the glass rattles, it's too much.
I have these in both my MMr and CCr now.
CCr multiball still gets the glass rattling, so a very cheap and fast fix was to install a DC motor control (make a simple harness and no cut wires!).
This gives you a dial for the shaker to dial in whatever speed you like!
amazon.com link »[quoted image]

I don't have my LE yet, but I'm with you, not a fan of jackhammer shaking in a pin, especially if the pin is inside the house on the second floor. I'm wondering though if I'm really going to need the motor control box. Isn't there a strength setting in the service menu that will change the frequency of the shaking as well as a physical weight on the shaker that can be shifted to change the violence of the shaking?

Need a stool for the cat, it cant reach the flipper buttons!

Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

To be fair, my decal experience is with older machines. When I removed the decals from an older Elvira machine it was a major undertaking. Perhaps the decals on a new machine would come off easier? The larger concern is preparing for the new decal. If the surface isn't perfectly smooth and clean, it will definitely show, and very possibly look worse than it was. It sounds like your situation is worse than the scratch on the other gentlemans backbox. In his case a set of Testors model paint, some color mixing, and a touch up would probably go unnoticed by anyone. But, then again, we all have different thresholds as to what we're willing to do for our pins [quoted image]

I had a little ding on my potc head decal when it arrived. I filled the ding and smoothed it perfectly to the old decal. Then I got the new decal and put it exactly over the old one. You can’t tell at all. I believe I did the dry method but I’d probably do wet now just to make sure it’s exact.

We wanted to wait until the morning to release the day 7 mods, but we will be on our way to TPF and didn't want anyone to miss out on seeing our final release of this event, so we hope you enjoy! Also go see the other release threads as we are starting to get some videos out on some of the items (primarily the aprons)[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

AWESOME!!

Count me in.

I like the barrel cup holder. Do you have a link or source where you wrangled it?

I know that Soulrider911 makes a nice looking one that he posted in the Stern POTC thread. I have one of his mods and it's really nice.

I don’t think CCr is as bad as MMR, either way, wait and see. The motor control is $15, why I like them, but not everyone will want or need to do anything.

Details in the FAQ under “Cool cup holder”. I’ll change the name. It looks even better in person.

I went ahead and ordered that Polly mod from Matt and Back Alley creations. Loving the look of the figure and the blue ramp she sits on kinda gives the impression of a waterfall color to the existing ramp.

That makes a total of 10 mods I have now for CCR + just waiting to be put into my pin. Now if I could only get the pin.

#11111 77 days ago

I was hoping Polly might look more like this…

Quoted from Teknotoyz:

Is anyone else door OCD?
I sold the Suzo door almost as soon as the machine was out of the box.
Plug and play with the exception of the coin chute lights... 12v vs 5v.
Also, got the original WPC button style back!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I’m “door OCD” in the other direction: Only Suzo-Happ with DBA validator cutouts please! The old WPC’s can’t even use the old Mars 2400 validators without having to dremel-saw through the door.

Wanna trade an old WPC door and frame for a new Suzo?

I got the "2-3 month estimate" from PPS just under a month ago and have been notified today that my game's ready so that's a nice surprise. Probably the first time CGC was ever ahead of schedule

Same here, still have to order the ones from Mezel Mods (still debating on the Gold Mine sign as the brown is a little darker than the original sign and my OCD isn’t sure yet) and the magnetic speaker decal. I’m an SE+ so I’m hoping by Christmas but no rush as I know it’ll be worth it.

Installed side art blades from Brian Allen today. Really digging the look.

Got mine delivered, setup and playing today. Everything seems to be working great and having a blast with it.

Number and mfg date?

315 LE, I'm too tired to pull the game out of my line and look at mfg date.

So whats your best guess on how many LE's have been delivered? 450 ish?

Mine just arrived this week and it was #435.

Quoted from PtownPin:

Yeah. I got a note about 451 so I updated estimate to 460. But I still don’t know if any of them are built and earmarked for a container. And there are some matching numbers that may be out of sequence. Hoping someone at TPF can get some insight from the CGC guys. I haven’t talked to anyone for a while and have at least another 6 weeks in rehab.

But I’m beginning to think it may be less because there are recent deliveries in low to mid 300s. I did kind of give up because I have way more numbers than mfg dates. Still doesn’t seem to be at what capacity is supposed to be. Seems 35-40 a week recently. Good news is some are getting their invoices weeks earlier than expected so who knows.

Any word on yours?

I ordered original release date with PPS. Hoping much later this year as GTF has my attention.

Be cool if you could shuffle slots. Match up who wants it earlier and who wants it later. I think previous LE owners should get their games early like it was with previous releases and flippers get their games absolutely last.

But that’s a pipe dream. I’m just glad games are being delivered at a decent clip.

As all of us. AP done shadoodled it all up.

Twitch stream Tuesday night possibly.

I checked marketplace not one sold through there yet. I wonder how many at TPF are sold…
But I digress. Back to the Wild West.

#11135 75 days ago
Quoted from marioparty34:

I did just that and the vibrations ended up closing the hole again. I will try to open it up and tighten it even more. Maybe I was too gentle with my screwing. (Now that sounds pretty dirty. Lol) Thanks.

Issue is fixed. I adjusted the left side ramp towards the back of the playfield a few mm and it gave the rod enough room to slide up and down easily. Beer mug can easily tap the glass now.

Received my plaque from pinballjah today, looks so much better than that cheap factory one, which peeled off easily with a dental pick. A huge upgrade in that great looking buckle

Hey Freinds here is a preview of the CC Gulp I am working on. Going to make a few tweaks and then I will start making these. If you are interested please just PM me and in the title have “CC Gulp”. This will be in two parts, the main body and the bracket that will mount it to the legs. The reason for 2 parts is in the case the bracket cracks from over tightening its easy to replace. So in these photos that bracket is not present, just and FYI

Cheers!

Nice looking cup. Do you know if the light up discs will fit in the bottom of these? I forgot the name of the forum member that makes them.

#11139 75 days ago

Most likely yes they will as the bottom diameter of a standard pin gulp is actually smaller than this.

Great job! Printing the bracket with 90-100% infill will really help them last.

I went with the bone, painted option. Was $22, but for a few dollars more, it's still a cheap mod that really looks like it came from the factory.

How did you mount it?

I cut a 1/4" wide piece of tin, bent into a Z shape, dbl back tape, then after mounting, bent to angle I liked best

I went with a smaller scale bone colored. For the same price I got a bag of 5. I like the more subtle size. If anyone only wants one, I will send you one for $5. I only need 2. PM me.
