Are there any 3D printer files for the train station mods?

#11053 1 year ago

seems to be moving pretty fast now.

Not that anyone has posted.

Scrolling through the thread to catch up on posts, when I get to post 11002 with a picture of the underside of a CC playfield…which made me realize that since my LE delivery I haven’t had to lift the playfield yet!?!!?! Can this be possible? It’s so bizarre to get a new pin and not have to do anything except play it…that’s almost taking away half the challenge of pin ownership!

#11056 1 year ago

Has anyone else been waiting for Starcade? How many on here received their games from Starcade? Just curious

Mine should be landing tomorrow from Roger

#11058 1 year ago
Quoted from Jrl80:

Awesome idea! I remember those paints! I’ll have to swing by a hobby shop later and try to match it. As far as crayola option, am I heating the crayon first or just using hot spatula to melt/form into place?

I would heat the Crayola first to soften it. Then apply. You can also just buy a red grease pencil from Amazon. But if your red is a weird red color just go with the Testors as you can mix to match

The only time I’ve lifted my SE pf (in almost a year), was to install the shaker motor. And that, imo, is the best mod out there for this pin especially. Very immersive shaking

The width of the head is the same whether it’s up or folded down…. About 29 inches.

Great thanks

#11062 1 year ago

LE ? Delivery tomorrow I didn’t pick a num, I just said what ever comes in next batch to me quickest. I’ll post when I get it thanks for this thread it will still come in handy after I have the game tweaks issues

#11063 1 year ago

got the tape measure out, 28 11/16" to be exact for my machine. I assume pretty much the same for the rest. Hope you can find 11/16th more room.

#11064 1 year ago

Anyone having an issue with their topper staying in lean back position?

Yes I should be fine if I pop the door off which shouldn’t be bad it’s cheap interior door three pins

Quoted from Pizza-Bob:

Not sure what you mean, he is spring loaded and springs forward when pulled back. A solenoid fires to make him fall back.

here's the innards, shows the springs #5.

Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

The beer mug is absolutely OBNOXIOUS when it hits the glass. I'm talking like pinball smacking the glass obnoxious. I put a small post rubber on the beer mug "stem" under the playfield to limit its travel. Trust me, you don't want it hitting the glass.
EDIT: If you do actually want to experience the mug smacking the glass, just remove the locknut from the beer mug stem under the playfield (see my post below) and enjoy

Ok I’m definitely going to paying attention to mine coming tomorrow esp since I have invis glass on order. With my luck it will shatter

#11068 1 year ago

Mine registers probably 95%, and has never hit the glass once. I just put invisiglass on ehoh, and hit probably 20 times, I'll be putting some post rubbers on it tmrw .

Are they all matching #'s???

#11073 1 year ago
Quoted from Pizza-Bob:

Anyone having an issue with their topper staying in lean back position?

Yes, mine is doing that and at least a couple others have been mentioned previously as doing the same. There are two springs that are supposed to pivot Bart back to the upright position but mine has a lot of drag in the movement.

#11074 1 year ago
Quoted from chillme:

Mine is getting stuck in the leaning back position and has significant drag in movement, I'm assuming the others having this issue have the same problem.

I didn’t have this problem at first . I can’t leave him in the shot potion, I have to do something about this !

Having replaced several newer stern decals both head and cabinet, the removal was cake. I wouldn't be concerned at all about removing the old one. The part that takes more expertise is aligning it to get it 100% straight. It's still not super complicated as there are various methods you can use and it just being the head makes that much more simple. I wouldn't hesitate to do it if you can get the decal from PPS or whomever your distro was.

Nearly a year and a half of waiting and CC LE is finally home. Sara at PPS was AWESOME to deal with. The game was packed perfectly, arrived in pristine shape. I’m a happy cowboy!

yup, we've had ours for a few weeks and haven't lifted the playfield either. Everything is working great. Other than installing the glass backglass haven't done a thing but play it.

No, I couldn't make that happen.

Does anyone have #626? It might not even be an option, but that would be very cool to have my anniversary June 26th Does anyone know if there is any way to get that number? Is there a process? My game is coming from Starcade by way of PPS. Any insight would be appreciated.

#11086 1 year ago

We wanted to wait until the morning to release the day 7 mods, but we will be on our way to TPF and didn't want anyone to miss out on seeing our final release of this event, so we hope you enjoy! Also go see the other release threads as we are starting to get some videos out on some of the items (primarily the aprons)

I paid final invoice a little over a week ago and Roger said could be around 10 days or so. I haven’t heard anything yet.

Picked up a CCr LE # 397 last week.
One thing that irritates me on the shaker is that I like it to just move the pin, not be some jackhammer trapped in a pinball.
Factory settings don't slow it enough for me, if the glass rattles, it's too much.
I have these in both my MMr and CCr now.

CCr multiball still gets the glass rattling, so a very cheap and fast fix was to install a DC motor control (make a simple harness and no cut wires!).
This gives you a dial for the shaker to dial in whatever speed you like!

Is anyone else door OCD?
I sold the Suzo door almost as soon as the machine was out of the box.
Plug and play with the exception of the coin chute lights... 12v vs 5v.
Also, got the original WPC button style back!!

The first thing I do to all my shaker motors is reposition the weights to lower the effect. Not sure everyone is aware this is an option. DC motor control box is an interesting idea though.

#11093 1 year ago
Quoted from SlapDrain:

I have done that in the past, no where near as good as the motor control. Very refined and still moves the machine with full effect to the level wanted.

Stern node boards do NOT like the controller, so don’t do this on a Stern.

Can you expand on how that is done?

I have a spare shaker out of the game. I’ll take some pics.

#11097 1 year ago
Quoted from jfh:

It's actually pretty easy and works very well. VPIN community has been using these for a long time - pretty much since real shakers started going into vpin cabinets. Some simple wiring hooks and you are off and running.

#11098 1 year ago

The weights are held on with an allen key set screw. Remove the weight and move the set screw to the other threaded hole. Now the weights will be offset by 45 degrees and will be less violent when they rotate. By default they are inline with each other and is a huge amount of weight being spun around. I make this change on all my stern, jjp, and now cgc games. (Stern shaker pictured)

*Be sure to use blue loctite on the set screw during reassembly. You dont want one of those weights flying off or coming loose during operation.
