Quoted from jfh:

Put in all your questions and I will do my best to get answers. I hope to talk with Butch later today.

Wondering the same about how many SE we’re ordered initially and if the initial run will cover the orders for those that ordered in first few weeks.

Got an opportunity to play the game where I could actually hear it. Only played about 20 minutes but I’ll say I’m even more stoked to be in on Cactus Canyon Remake than I was yesterday.

Like most, I had not seen the remake in person before today. Perhaps because of the LEDs or lighting conditions this game simply does not photograph well. It looks just amazing in person. The new dots fit perfectly, sound is good, more quotes than I remember and surprisingly (at least to me) was that the game shoots better than I remember. This is Williams 90s pinball. Not deep; just plain fun to play. For those getting the topper it’s more integrated into the game than I initially thought even if mostly for lighting and movement effects. It’s certainly not an afterthought like most toppers and even has art on the sides to give it a more finished look.

Since I have an LE on order I focused on the LE differences. The Gun Metal Gray powder coat fits perfectly and has a nice matte finish. It “fits” the look better in person then in pictures. Anyone who wants the train tracks will be happy with the aftermarket ones though I liked the new mine sculpt and cart a lot and Bart is so much better than the original. I was very skeptical about the wood apron (probably because I really like the blue on the SE) but it is very subtle and looks terrific. The prototypes at TPF don’t have the same apron card styles but I presume the production LEs will.

I was also worried about the use of RGB lighting. Shouldn’t have been. Very nicely done and not over the top.

There were a couple playfield tweaks being made to the games that have made it into production that I’ll get in the FAQ under things to look for though they will only be applicable to a very small number of early games.

Looking forward to the presentation tonight and will have a full recap later. Talked with Butch for a bit. I’m so glad he landed with CGC!

Early on I said I thought this game would be a sleeper hit. I’m absolutely convinced of that now. This should sell a lot, especially to those new to the hobby.

Well this looks pretty amazing under the protective plastic, only disappointment is it appears to be thinner than the OEM wpc-95 and the channels trim pieces do not lock on they fall right off.

Just watching a video stream from TPF showing the LE and was blown away by how nice the LE “Buckle” on the apron looks! I know we have all seen it but something about the lights reflecting off of it really made it pop. I snapped a screenshot of it and it sort of captured the reflection, as usual nice touch CGC!

Does the trim fall off even with the light tub attached to it?

Quoted from sizzler747:

That is a good point.... so used my sys11's I forgot about that. But some researched showed the wpc-95 may need 3/16 thickness and earlier wpc games used 1/8.

My 13x19 print arrived today.

I got #21...the same one that was pictured on the web site.

Kinda wishing I would have got this also, but went with the line drawing version in this size.

Anyone at TPF that would like to pick one of these prints up for me? I know its a long shot but figured it couldn't hurt to ask! Apparently there will be some at the show! Totally missed the very small window for getting one of these prints!

#713 2 years ago

Just received word, my game will be here Monday around noon. I’m not going to kid myself, I’m not getting any work done next week.

Lol... can't even get the CCR s on the line, then guessing they will do their own production game....

Lol, that’s why I asked so there’s no guessing ! They said 2023 for MMr and there’s 5 lines apparently, so I think it’s a valid question

#716 2 years ago

Well I ordered my SE probably two months ago and I know it will be a long time, but fingers crossed it gets to me this year.

Game looks fun and have good earning potential on location!

I’d think that you won’t need the channels…Those are to hold the translite, they dont serve any other purpose I believe.

#730 2 years ago

Are the art blades they mentioned making available separate or only on the LE?

#731 2 years ago

Man trying to watch but got no signal on this plane

#732 2 years ago

I was really excited about my Rush premium....but watching the twitch feed on Cactus Canyon?.....I'm much more excited about my LE.....

Go Chicago Gaming go !!!!

#733 2 years ago

WOW! Thats how you do a seminar. Very informative! Lots of pictures and information. Well done Chicago Gaming!

#734 2 years ago

Best pinball seminar I have ever seen! I am SO proud to have an LE on order! WAY TO GO CGC!!!!!

#735 2 years ago

Only caught a few minutes of the seminar - is the full one going to be posted anywhere?

#736 2 years ago

“Customers will forgive late. They will not forgive wrong.”

Bravo CGC. Epic statement.

The other two from today are up so I am sure this will be too

The attention to detail truly blows me away.

This pin will be my 3rd remake. I ordered my LE on day 1. My expectations are...I'll see it some time next summer.

I don't care....because I know that CGC will make this game perfect. I'm more than willing to wait it out. I seriously think this will be the best remake to date.

On a side note....I'm SO glad Butch Peel went to Chicago Gaming. I'm looking forward to seeing the owner's manual he comes up with.

So true...

#740 2 years ago

Great seminar. Really happy with the transparency and discussion concerning attention to detail that the entire CGC team expended to take this game to the next level!

#741 2 years ago

In my opinion....THIS is how a presentation ought to be given....good job Butch.

#742 2 years ago

I was on the fence about which machine I was going to purchase this year. After watching the live stream on twitch, I pulled the trigger and placed a pre-order! I really appreciate the fact that they had the courage to take advantage of halted production to fix quality issues and other than the game itself, that's what sold me.

Totally unlike Stern....their approach is get the game out on the market ASAP....screw putting out a quality product.

Sorry Stern fanboys....

It is what it is.

#744 2 years ago

OT: if someone gets by their booth to ask questions can you ask about possible reruns of AFM and MBR and also if timing on the next MMr run has changed?

When you say next summer, do you mean of 2022 or 2023? What date was given for LE production?

I'm guessing 2023....I hope that CGC proves me wrong though.

I'm in no hurry. This pin looks like it will kick @ss...

#747 2 years ago

I am very impressed by Chicago Gaming’s strong work ethic and attention to detail.
As a consumer I am happy to give them my money.
I watched the seminar and the presentation was phenomenal. I think we are goong to get an excellent quality product that has been thoroughly tested and that is polished and truly finished.

This is just what this industry needed, a company that truly cares to make it right.

I am on a SE and looking forward to the future code to be released.

More importantly I am happy to be in pinball today, reliving these old titles with newer tech and looking forward to what they are bringing in the future.

Just amazing! Thanks CGC

#748 2 years ago

Great presentation and way to knock it out of the park Chicago Gaming! Not to throw anybody under the bus but thank goodness Ryan didn’t do the presentation

#749 2 years ago

I didn't get to see the seminar, did they say when they expected LE's to ship or what the hold ups are

#750 2 years ago
Quoted from Yesh23:

Not to throw anybody under the bus but thank goodness Ryan didn’t do a presentation

Don't forget Ryan was dead from getting games into the seminar, they were putting a topper on right before hand. His laptop didn't mesh with the hotels equipment.

Ryan has had good ones in the past. He unfortunately hit one where everything possible went wrong.

And Butch does amazing seminars. And everything went right.

Glad to see Butch home with a company that loves him.
