Quoted from jmcadres:

Nice. Do the tracks detract from gameplay at all? Did you design yourself? Sharing or selling the .stl file?

Thank you. No it doesn’t take away from gameplay, we designed them ourselves and we plan on selling these on our website, Pinside and on eBay in the near future.

This is the first day with them installed (on location) so we just want to make sure they work properly and hold up, etc before listing them for sale.

Quoted from ULEKstore:

Made ourselves some 3D printed railroad tracks for our CCr Special Edition today. I think it’s the one thing that we were truly missing from the LE model so had to add ‘em.

They look great!
Well done!

I think the train-belt gearbox needs a cover on all the games.

#507 2 years ago

Great mod! Is it the same in the se+?
Or whatever version that has them…

#508 2 years ago

Would the sale of the tracks breach copyright?

#509 2 years ago
Quoted from ClassicHornet:

Would the sale of the tracks breach copyright?

No. They are just generic tracks with no name, logo or likeness pulled from Cactus Canyon.

Hey LTG , (or anyone else) is there a way to knock out one switch (tell the game it’s not working) so the software can compensate? My trick shooter won’t ever register because the mrs (top right loop) is bad. I think eventually it will figure it out? But right now I can’t ever collect the trick shooter loop.

No.

It is to imitate/duplicate the look of the tracks in the Limited Edition machines, yes.
I think it looks so much better with the tracks in there.

So… I thought my interlock bypass switch was wired wrong or broke. Turns out i think it’s just s software thing. The game gives you the high power disabled’ warning even if the interlock is pulled out…. Which is incorrect.

I also had problems with one of the drop targets not latching and staying up reliably.

Could not find anything out of place - it just would easily unlatch with the coil action. I solved by bending the finger tab that pushes the target down slightly so it did not reset the target as much. Slightly reducing how far it pushed the target up.

Unfortunately it looks line the plastic ledges that hold the drop targets up are riveted to thr drop target bracket… which will make replacement was harder

I replaced a spring with a softer one on my second from the left target for this very issue. Works properly now.

You have two switches on the coin door frame. Top one is high power interlock, which cuts high power. Lower one is memory protect - which lets the game know the coin door is open.

What is happening on your game is the same thing as every Williams game with those two switches. High power and memory protect.

High power interlock switch only cuts high power, it doesn't tell the game it did.

Memory protect puts up the coin door warning and high power disabled when you open the coin door.

Go to your game, open coin door, push in lower switch, then the warning goes away. Whether high power interlock is enabled or not.

hold the button in with one of these perhaps:

Some games came with them in the goody bag.

I use it on my gottlieb game.

Not needed on the CGC remakes. You can pull out the knob on the high power interlock switch to enable high power. And many of the Williams ( not all if they don't have the knob ) DMD games.

Thx LTG... has been too long since I had a WPC with physical interlock.. plus in the CGC design the interlock doesn't appear to be a physical break but simply a switch input to the Driver board (which in turn drives the transistors to connect the power) so it's a bit different. I had incorrectly assumed it was CPU reading it, but it's just the gate input to the cut-off circuits so just part of the driver board's circuitry.

Probably got too spoiled with too many modern sterns... their high voltage warning is far less obnoxious

Quoted from Jodester:

I found the one target was moving front to back while working the reset coil from latched height to bottoming out the plunger while the other targets moved perfectly up and down w/o front/back movement while the same motion was happening. So the range of movement was different in some minor way for that target. The extra movement was enough it wouldn't latch reliably. The lower spring were my next thought because the target was not staying parallel to the bracket, but don't carry those in my bag and a good bit more disassembly. The extra motion was very peculiar to me as the other targets moved perfectly up and down w/o that extra slop.

I havent had any trouble at all with my AFMRle, never had to use the little switch actuator.

Its really nice and very well thought out.

My Gottlieb Stargate however, kills the total game power until the button is pressed in. Really bothersome if Im trying to sort out something with the door open.

Heaven forbid you have to retrieve a stuck ball "in-game", opening the door totally kills the game!

However, I love my Stargate!

CCr SE landed at District 1 brewery on Monday. Overall very happy with the game. Built quality is exactly what we have come to expect from CGC. 3CDBEBB7-E86F-471D-B885-8CB5F593D45F (resized).jpeg3CDBEBB7-E86F-471D-B885-8CB5F593D45F (resized).jpeg7937A83C-858A-4931-9652-EC8315DED23D (resized).jpeg7937A83C-858A-4931-9652-EC8315DED23D (resized).jpeg

I thought the System 3 games were the first games to introduce the pull out switches. Have you tried pulling on the white door switch to override that power kill.

#528 2 years ago

I've been in the hobby for about 20 years, fixed and restored dozens of games, and never knew until now that you can simply pull out the knob on the high power interlock switch to enable high power!

LOL, you open the door during a game on a Stargate it immediately kills the power.

Yes you can pull it out for service and testing.

Waiting for My LE. Don't understand why they couldn't ship them and ship topper later???

#534 2 years ago
Quoted from sepins:

Waiting for My LE. Don't understand why they couldn't ship them and ship topper later???

No one has said it was a topper issue. The LEs are slated for prodution after the inital run of SEs. They are also not shipping SEs at the rate they wanted to so that tells us that the parts shortage is not the topper. Or at least not JUST the topper.

#535 2 years ago
Quoted from sepins:

Waiting for My LE. Don't understand why they couldn't ship them and ship topper later???

I think it is better this way. From my understanding pinball companies tend to prefer to make some base models first as those are often what end up at locations. Allowing more people to have a chance to try the game before they place an order for one.

A side benefit is that they'll find the issues with the early SE games and be able to address them before the build the LEs.

I've seen a few people with SEs post issues about the pop bumpers being to sensitive and drop targets not catching. I'm sure CGC is taking notes and working to address those.

SE was delivered this morning. Absolute beauty. Love the way it shoots. The lighting really stands out to me. All the pics and vids I’d seen didn’t do the lighting justice! Call outs are kick ass, too. Very well put together and sturdy as hell just like other Chicago Gaming pins. Hope everyone that is still waiting for theirs gets good news soon. Cheers!

I can’t wait to see what his side art blades will look like for CCr! I ordered a set of his art blades for Fish Tales and they are some of the best quality blades I’ve gotten (even from companies that have been doing art blades for years).

Looks like an awesome take on the CCr theme. I can't wait to see what it looks like when he finishes it. I ordered the upcoming mirrored backglass but may have to put some $$$ aside for this as well Thanks for the info!

#549 2 years ago

According to Brian, his Cactus Canyon alternate artwork will launch next week. The translite will be available to all.
More details in the FAQ.

#550 2 years ago

I think there will some of the alternative translites available at TPF for those that are attending. Backalley Creations usually has his stuff for sale at the shows.
