AWESOME!!! love the AFM tie-in!

I'm guessing this is not a standard mode on CC

Now I really want one LOL!

A bit graphic, but cool nonetheless.
Can't wait to hear the sound effects

Hey Eric,
Just curious if any of the original design/software team on this pin have reached out to you?
I would imagine they'd be pretty impressed and grateful that you've put so much time and effort into completing this game.

I think you need to get your hands on a TOTAN

#142 11 years ago

Just got my CC!
Well, it'll be on a boat soon anyway. Its going to be a reimport but it's one of the cleanest and most complete routed CC's I've seen. Looks like I'll have a restoration project for next year and I can't wait to try this code out! I might just have to hold off on tearing the pin down and install the PROC and Eric's code first... for testing and debugging of course.

Just curious (and I'm showing my inner noob here) but why can't new code like this be programmed onto a chip and used in the game like any other ROM? Is the BW system somehow locked down to prevent this? It seems like you're able to get into and use the existing code anyway.

Thanks!

Quoted from epthegeek:

To finally give the match some real puprose, if you win a match now - you get "Last Call".

Thats pretty freaking cool
Does any other game do this? That is a very nice touch; makes me wish my CC was here NOW!!!
It won't arrive until just before Christmas

Quoted from epthegeek:

CCC now supports a real knocker if you have one wired up.

Cactus Canyon doesn't have a knocker?
What's involved in adding it?

#202 11 years ago
Quoted from epthegeek:

I don't know if any other game does it or not. I kind of wanted to do something along what it ended up being, and then I saw the bartender animation on Champion Pub this weekend and it just all came together.
As for the knocker - it just didn't ship with one. WMS stopped using them at some point, before CC even, I think. The software support for it was there, but the game didn't come with it. You just have to get a stock WMS knocker rig and wire it up.
Like so:

Thanks!
Took me a few minutes to figure out that he had posted the photos in the wrong order, but it all makes sense now. I guess I'll add a knocker assembly to my shopping list

Hey guys,
Haven't heard anything further in this project in a couple if weeks.
Is the code pretty solid?

Eric, any more developments in your pre-packaged kit options?

Thanks

Nice one Eric!

I finally got my CC yesterday! It's a container pin and will need a lot of love before I put your code and PROC into it, but I cannot wait.

Just curious if anyone has had any issues installing Eric's latest update?

Fantastic Eric!
Will you be posting up a small how-to along with some product specs on what to buy... for those of us a little less technology literate?

Sorry to sound thick guys, but I'm very new to CC.
Just got one this year and its a restoration project.
I do have Eric's rig and code on it (didn't want to miss the boat down the road) but I seriously do not play the game much and probably won't until its been through my shop.

What little Ive seen is fantastic. I especially love cowboys vs. aliens and drunk mb.

My question however is, what is the skill shot on CC? And the super skill shot for that matter?

Thanks in advance!

#434 10 years ago

Thanks Eric.
I thought maybe I had been missing something all along
The lasso bowl I'm obviously familiar with. I just never figured that was a skill shot.
The new super skill should prove a bit more fun.

Great work once again!

For the love of God...somebody loan this man a TOTAN

I've already sent an email, but I'm definitely in for a color screen as well.
Nice work Eric.

I had a few guys over playing CCC the other day and Cowboys vs Aliens started up. Everyobody was laughing pretty hard when those disco beats started pumping

Hey Eric,
It's taken me forever to get to installing this thing (we've been moving) but doing it right now.
Is there a photo of how the LCD is mounted? Can't seem to find installation instructions on the wiki but there are two sets of holes on the mount. I don't wanna be too low or high.

Thanks.

EDIT:
Don't worry. Figured it out. Went to colorDMD. Forgot you were using the same mount.

Got my color screen hooked up and looks great Eric! Thanks again for the help.
I also picked up that board to recommended for the shutoff. Might be picking your brain after I go through your guide.

Quoted from zucot:

I'm very curious to hear about how this works out. The only thing I don't like about my setup is the buzz.

Is this a common issue?
I'm having noticeable buzz on my system too. I did the sound board conversion and everything is still stock.
It's especially noticeable during attract mode as the lights cycle... but still audible during gameplay.

Just revisiting this thread again after years of having my CC project in pieces.
I finally dusted it off and I'm happy to see this thread still going and Erik still supporting

I bought his kit maybe 4 years ago and it's still in box. I'm probably a dozen versions behind by now

I'm aiming to have it all back together and running before the new year. Fingers crossed.
