Is your ColorDMD a LCD display or an LED DMD? They come in both styles from ColorDMD. CCC works with LCD screens, and one of the kinds of ColorDMD is an LCD, while one is more comparable to an original DMD in the terms of that it has actual dots rather than simulated ones.

It should work for the LCD (not entirely sure), but I would not expect it to work with the other. Even if it works, it will not have full support like the original Cactus Canyon does due to changes in animations and whatnot. CCC seems to have its own native support for color animations though and people have used an LCD screen to use this effect in their machines.

So if you can use your ColorDMD like an LCD display, yes, if not (if it's an LED DMD), no - unless you use the setting like you would with games that aren't supported yet where you select your own basic colors.

If your display has things like the smoothing modes, it's the LCD model and you should be able to do it, basically. However - it'll be riding on the coloring from the CCC kit itself rather than the ColorDMD hardware & software. Make sure there is some kind of input port on the screen of the ColorDMD though.
