Did you just wire this back in or did you use any filters or anything special?

#5 6 years ago

Did they mount to the original screws/studs?

#7 6 years ago

Yea, I got a HS and I will be ordering the speakers tonight, the same ones, except maybe these for the backbox

Question? is 4 ohms what came in HS? Or does it matter if you are running 4 ohms in all 3 positions?

#11 6 years ago
Quoted from ZEN:

Greg is a good guy

I agree I bought the kit for my HS2 & will order one for my VND, but HS doesn't warrant a pinball pro system, lame electronic music.

Quoted from nosro:

Oh, and I think you mean two positions

Yea, your right I was thinking 2 speakers in the backbox like HS2.

Quoted from nosro:

If you get that, please report back on if it mounts flush. Heck, if it does, maybe I can buy the other one off you.

Quoted from nosro:

I think I might add a high-pass (capacitor) to the backbox speaker

keep me in the loop I would like to do that mod, too. The feature controlling the bass on the pinballpro setup works really good. I not looking for that but a high-pass capacitor sounds like the ticket. Let me know what and how (type & installation instructions)

Want to go splits on one?

I'll have to wait till I get home work blocks Ebay, but will check out the Radioshack link. Sounds good and if you want the other speaker I can get it to you.

Also I found a 8 ohm woofer for my T2 to replace the bottom cabinet speaker a 6" model, I hope it fits cause it is a tad bit taller.

But the mounting depth is still only 2.75 and the product dimenison is 6.7 x 6.7 x 3.4 inches

#23 6 years ago

Try it out and let me know how it worked and how to install. Cool, Cool!

#24 6 years ago

Well with a little looking and no beer goggles (last night's fog), both the 6' & 6.5' have the same dimenisons. So, I pretty sure I'm safe.

#25 6 years ago

A little tid-bit I found on Radioshack but it would not show the product.

I've ordered a volume control and will add info on that later (as a way to alter the balance between the 4x10 backbox speaker and the 6.5 cabinet speaker.)

Yea, will be looking forward to this info and here is the speakers I bought:

The 4x10's are $30.74 for two and they are flush mount, no modding
The 6.5" is $12.15
Sounds good in my system 11

Badpenny61's lead and ordering the same speakers from Amazon for my High Speed

Your welcome anytime I can be helpful. Mind you understand its not a pinball pro upgrade, but it does sound better. Nosro I still have not forgot about you, overtime is ending soon so I've had to put in as many Saturdays as possible before it ends. Also this weekend I put in my second set of pinball pro's in my VND, wow! Whitestar has a good sound-board.

badpenny61, how was the instal

Easy Cheesy, it all fit and my PF doesn't touch the cabinet speaker it isn't a big noticeable difference, it just beats 30 year old speakers. All I believe now I'll get 30+ years of sound. Bill

Quoted from Jeff_PHX_AZ:

So you all running 4 ohms in the panel/backbox and the cab. speaker is 4 ohms. Now the old cab. speaker I pulled out was rated at 8 ohms, what gives?

Sounds like someone replaced it before you got it, maybe? If I remember right, I did research and listened to the guys here for the ohms, because my T2 has 8 ohms, so I had to order different speakers for each pin.
