Cabinet metal flipper protectors vs. touch-up + stealth

    Probably the most noticeable minus on my RBION cabinet is the flipper button wear. On one side, it's down to the wood. As buyers, would you guys/gals tend to prefer a machine with the metal Stern cabinet protectors (or something similar) like this:

    ...or the area touched up, and then protected with stealth protectors? I'm not terribly handy, but I imagine the hardest part would be getting something to match the color.

    Just curious what the different viewpoints are. I don't think I've played a table that's had metal protectors but don't think it would really affect gameplay...but also pondering what's more attractive to buyer's eyes.
