Hi everyone,

Only from an esthetic point of view, according to you, what would be the best way to minimise this damage...?

Seeing as it is only the black, you could perhaps find some black decal and cut out the damaged area and create a patch the same size as the removed area and apply the patch. Use a nice new sharp scalpel knife and cut square. Better still make a steel plate/sheet template to cut around both the damaged area and also the new patch insert so that both are identical in size and shape. Make sure and damage in the timber is repaired first before applying the patch.
