I bought a set (T2) from you awhile back. After seeing your crumpled baywatch set smoothed out, I am all the more intrigued to see your install video. I have worked with several sets of nextgen and the silkscreened ones Phoenix ardace makes. None of them could handle the wrinkles like you have shown.

Everyone has their own way but that method is a recipe for disaster especially for a beginner. Relying on weighting the far end to hold it in place is sure to have it shift on you. In fact, it did just that to him in the video. Also, he peeled way too much backing off. That allows for the chance of it to sag in the middle and stick there. The taped hinge method is much safer when applying dry. When you peel back the backing, you only need to peel 4-5". It's just enough to lock the decal in place so it doesn't shift. Then you can pull the backing back slowly as you lay the decal down. That all but eliminates the chance of wrinkles.

Sadly, the answer now appears to be "no,
    you cannot."

Yep, sad indeed. It appears a source of hard to or impossible to get decals may have went the way of the dodo.

    Quoted from Mbecker:

Does everyone sand first after the last spray before applying decals? I'm getting close to decal time.. finishing up painting.

I do. It knocks any debris dried in the primer. I then tack rag it a couple times. Be sure the decals are clean as well. There is nothing worse than a small piece of trash sticking up in your fresh decal.
