Maybe paint the cab first. All that fluid will go into the wood.
I find baby shampoo and water work well. Easier to get than rapid-tac.
The big thing is to make sure you don't have vinyl that is air-egress. You can't wet-app with it. The air channels in the glue will perma-trap liquid.
