I just recently replaced a GI light board and a couple of light cables in my WOZ, and am noticing while in attract mode a buzzing sound that gets louder the more playfield lights are lit. Pretty loud at that time. I don't recall hearing it before, is this normal? Replacement cables came from JJP. Thank you!

There was some fiddling I had to do with the mini jack on the pc. The audio cable was against a power cable and the power was causing noise in the audio. I know this has been documented before, you just have to look for it. Some people re-routed their cables all together to get rid of this. Is yours a new run or an original? Ours is one of the first 100 RR.

Mine is number 255. I think I remember it making some noise before, but not this bad. I don't think I moved other cables around when replacing the 2 lightboard cables, can't help wondering if maybe the cables they sent aren't shielded and that's causing it? Will try re-routing cables around and see what that does.

I chased this down on numerous occasions moving cables and reconnecting anything to do with sound. No luck- gave up. The sound was definitely related to the LEDs because it changed along with the attract mode lighting.

I had the same issue. Here’s a thread with great info on how to solve it:

I had a buzzing sound with mine, pulled the cover off the computer coffin in the bottom of the cab. The fuse list label had fallen off the cover and was sitting ontop of the cooling fan and rattling with the fan blades.
