Quoted from Jbon:

The fact I couldn’t hit when at the top section with the left flipped not working means I missed out on some really fun parts of the game?

The upper flipper is used to start the modes.
What part of Australia are you in? Someone may know a good tech in the area.

Also (IMO) I’d advise that you look backwards. Meaning don’t look for a specific pin, rather look for what for sale and try to buy what’s a good price but also something in great shape.

I made a mistake once because I saw a Transformer LE for $4500 or something low price like that and it was low play HUO and I didn’t grab it because I was not looking for a TF that was a mistake because it was a pin that was so good price I could have played it for a year and if I didn’t like it could have sold it for what I paid if not more.

What I’m saying is sometimes someone needs to sell a pin and they might be more desperate and might sell for stupid price. I did that with my XM LE. In fact I should have kept it for the price that I sold it was too low but I just wanted to sell it (fact I traded it for TWD pro and I’m happy with that even if I lost out on the deal).

I thought my kids (9 and 5) had no interest in pinball, they barely touched my WOZ for a year. But that was until I brought a TSPP home, they are hooked up to it, their friends play it everytime they come and I play it whenever I can.
It has something for everyone depth and tons of things to do for adults. Calls, lights and simple action/reaction for kids.

Truth is I wanted a second game that I could easily trade and thought TSPP was a good candidate but now I think WOZ will leave my house first.

You just said both machines are thrashed and flippers not working, etc.Id keep looking man,i strongly advise against getting anything thats a fixer upper for your first game.Theres no rush on this so just keep looking and maybe search thru the top 100 list and start researching some games.Theres too many great games out there to be settling for something your not loving.

Sorry misunderstood my post. It’s not the one I am buying. It was just the actual game first time I found it to physically play it!

Mine is mint that I’m buying with upgrades

Thanks, this really helps me feel better and clearer.

I really think TSPP is the best choice here. If you sincerely plan on only having one pin--that would be a great choice in my opinion. As others have pointed out, it's got tremendous depth--you can play the game for years and never see all it has to offer. The Simpsons is a universally beloved franchise, and i think will click with plenty of non-pinball people. Remember, most folks aren't gonna really consider the difference if it was this game or any other--they'll bat the ball around some and move on. You're the one that it's most important to, so be sure you're catering to yourself in addition to everyone else.
