Actually, I have a question that ties in with this topic, as I'm still relatively new to the pinball scene and am still learning what's considered acceptable behaviour and facepalm-worthy. For instance, in our local league, once the "doors open" on league night it's normal to just walk right in, yet my first couple league nights I ended up knocking first... I'm not used to just walking right into someone's house! : P

Anywhoo, my question: If someone was selling a pin I wanted and I went out to buy it, then noticed other pins all plugged in and everything, if I agree to buy the machine being sold and pay the guy, is it OK to ask to stick around for a little to play some of his other pins before taking off with the purchased pin, or would just the act of asking that be a faux pas?

    Quoted from LTG:

If you made a friend during the sale, I'd ask. If not, time to go home and enjoy your new game. Unless you are asked to play a few.
    LTG : )™

    Quoted from ryanwanger:

I haven't bought a *ton* of pins (yet), but I think there are more clever ways to do this rather than just asking directly and putting the seller on the spot. Show and interest and ask some specific questions about the other games - I think most people would offer to let you play because they like to show off their games (and would want to be treated similarly if the situation was reversed).
If they don't offer, then go home and play the hell out of the game you just bought.

*nods* Thanks for the advice! : )

    Quoted from Astropin:

It you are buying from me then you better ask. I am more than happy to let anyone play my pins. However; I often forget to do so in all the hustle of getting a deal done and pins being moved.

    So noted! ; D
