    Quoted from mbwalker:

I tried to get my Munsters Spike 2 CPU thru Stern parts - no go, Stern said I had to go thru a distro (but ironically they sell the CPU thru the Stern store). Ok, whatever...but now I'm going to have to turn around and send the Spike 2 I just got, back to Stern so they assign a S/N to it??

That makes no sense..so now you have to pay shipping 3 times as I am sure Stern is not gonna just do it for free….how ridiculous.

And while it won’t affect repairing a game by changing the CPU….you just lose IC….I don’t use IC anyway so no issue for me but crappy for people that do….just stupid.
