    Do you buy or lease a car/truck?

    I tend to buy and keep them for many years -- the renewal stickers on my pickup's license plate have really piled up.
    I also plan to keep the pinball machines I've acquired for the long term; I like the theme/game play and have not become bored after long time ownership. I have sold a couple machines, but from a group buy and only resold what I did not want.

    With all the buying/selling posts I see on the forum I wondered if there was a correlation between nature of vehicle ownership vs. pinball turnover in your collection. Do people that buy/keep cars and trucks do the same with their collection and do those who lease have a tendency to mix things up more?

    Perhaps some of the distributors should come up with a lease option on newer pinball machines to meet the demand of constantly changing collections. . .

    My old man told me if it floats, flies, or fks, rent it don't buy it.

    As far as everything else, including cars and trucks, it's straight cash homey.

    I've got a mild case of the waspinat0r sickness and buy/sell pins way to often. Not the case with my vehicles though, I drive them until they have a major problem or I have a life changing event.

    Do you own a pinball business? Buy and take it as a depreciation everything else would be a deduction. Gas used for pickup (keep documentation of this)and pinball related business, insurance, etc.

    Are you a collector? Well your options aren't as good but I would still buy and get the best deal possible.

    How long have you been collecting? There's nothing wrong with holding onto the same few pins long-term, but the downside is you're missing out on a chance to own countless other worthy pins.

    I've been collecting stuff all my life, but only the last number of years in pinball.

    Just like some vehicles, there are many other pins out there I'd be proud to own but the realities of space and cost hinder the effort. The collection is not "full" and Id like to add several other titles -- hopefully a few more keepers.

    Luckily there are pinball shows, friends, and barcades where I can play games not in my collection and you are right. . . there are a lot of great games and themes out there. Looking forward to the Ohio Pinball Show later this month!
