For the last couple of days; I've been doing some work on some pinball button decals for many of the early solidstate games. Specifically as a goal of sprucing up my Early Solid State buttons when back lit by LEDs. It all started when I agreed to give a set of these buttons to a fellow pinsider for his 8ball charity machine.
At first I had some limited yet disappointed success laser etching these buttons with a 8-ball. So I decided to try my hand at Water Slide Decals. The result is I came up with a few designs for many high volume Early solid state games; mainly ones I own or have access to. I'm curious what you guys think of these. Some ground rules:
1) These are an attempt to be inspired by; but not direct copies of game art. Specifically; I don't want the IP owners (you know who they are) coming after me for infringement. As a result; in nearly every case the art is original... drawn by me in CorelDraw. Please don't expect me to copy artwork directly from a game.
2) Whenever possible; I'll er on the side of going generic. IE a "public domain" 8-ball instead of something from the game. A Basket ball instead of a harlem globetrotter. etc. This means you won't see me offering a direct ripoff of the movie artwork for Spiderman.
Anyway; Using IPDB.org as a indication of "volume"; I attempted to render some graphics for many of the higher volume machines. Here's the Decal sheets in JPG for an indication:
8Ball, ST, Strikes and Spares, Black Hole
HauntedHouse, SpiderMan
Here's an Example of the 8-ball buttons:

My question is if I made the available in PDF form; would anyone use them?
If I were to offer decals at Pinball-Mods.com/oscom for a nominal price; would anyone buy them?
