I love cyberpunk. Good cyberpunk. Good literature in general.

My favorite cyberpunk book is Burning Chrome. I am going to reread it.

Burning chrome burned itself into my mind. I would highly suggest you read it.

Also neuromancer knocked my socks off. But I am rereading Burning chrome.

Anyone else have any cyberpunk favorites?

Neuromancer is my favorite. Snow Crash is really good too. I haven't read Burning Chrome, I'll have to check it out.

Not exactly Cyberpunk, but great SciF:

    "Pushing Ice" - Alistair Reynolds.
" Use of Weapons" - Iain Banks

My favorite book by a cyberpunk author is probably schismatic plus.

What happened is Bruce sterling wrote several story's in a shared universe. This was part of the arkham house book crystal express. Then he wrote shizmatrix. A novel.

I like the order of reading to be short stories then novel. Reverse the order presented in this book.

    Brilliant universe.

My favorite stories in burning chrome were dogfight and the one about the rift in space.

Rereading is necessary. In my case.

I wonder how these classics will hold up. We are about to find out.

Although he hasn't done Cyberpunk in awhile, Neal Stephenson is always a solid read. Neal Asher is also on point.

The Fractal Prince series is somewhat genre-similar.

But probably the best one of all is Richard Morgan's series of Takeshi Kovacs novels starting with Altered Carbon.

Ouch, Neal Stephenson, Snowcrash, The first half of the book was fantastic, the second half just fell off the planet....
