Can someone tell me why an incandescent bulb will not work in a socket but an LED will? I find this odd. I have a DE Simpsons and in one of the backbox sockets was an incandescent 455 bulb that will not come on at all. The bulb is good and works in other sockets. I tried a 44 incandescent but it will not come on either. I tried a 44 LED and it works. I believe this bulb is supposed to be a 455 and blink so I am confused. I assume a 455 LED (don't have one yet) will work but I'm just curious why an incandescent will not. Any help is appreciated.

LEDs require less to fire up. Guessing that socket is getting poor connection or power feed.

I have a similar issue with my space shuttle that I hope to resolve in the rebuild... the bonus matrix will only light one or two bulbs with incandescents, but all of them light properly with LEDs.

455 is a flasher bulb.. you need to replace it with a flasher bulb.

Right on. I know the difference in all of the bulbs, I just didn't know why only an LED would work.

Quoted from Frax:

LEDs require less to fire up.

No reason one should work while the other doesn't other than current/connection. I would clean the bulb socket.

Ok thanks, I will look into that.

455 is actually a *blinker*, not a flasher.
