I just had a foundation poured for an addition and also had a laundry list of things the concrete guy messed up so I know how you feel. I tried like hell to take off of work and be home so I could make sure his morons didn't mess up but every time I couldn't be there they effed something up, this all from a guy that supposedly had 30 years of experience.
I did all my own framing and had to figure out solutions to all the foundation issues like a whole wall being poured 5" off from the blueprint, but now that it's done were all good.

    Quoted from yaksplat:

I'm actually going with a 3/4" Tigerwood. It's about 50% harder on the Janka hardness scale than oak. They're 5" boards so it'll go in nice and quick and it's from a local company that owns the mill down in Brazil where the wood comes from.
I love hardwood flooring. If it were up to me, almost all floors would be hardwood. With the exception of entry ways and bathrooms.

I bet that Tigerwood cost you a Brazilian dollars.
