Assuming a Metallica pinball is coming, what are your top choices for songs? The soundtrack could determine the success of the pin so what should the playlist be? I'm not up to speed on Metallica so how about a list of sure winners or best choices.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned "Battery" yet... Have to think that one is pretty much guaranteed to be in the game.

Pincrush mentioned it . I should have ,great song.

Yes, it's one of the first Metallica songs I learned to play. Guitar School must have tabbed it.
It would be awesome to have Anesthesia start up for your victory lap after you beat the wizard mode... (Just after the machine goes nuts.) It can start out with a pitch black PF and with each note played sets off an insert with a tracer of G.I., which ultimately builds up to a fully lit PF after the drums kick in!
Hell,
Why not just make THAT the wizard mode?!? (Or at least a secret wizard mode...)
Do it for Cliff!!!
I can't think of much after Master of Puppets I'd want to listen to over and over again on a pinball machine. With that said there's probably no way they'd make one without stuff from The Black album, Load/Re-load, etc...

As it's been said many times, they don't even play anything from Load/Reload/St Anger live anymore, so I doubt any songs from those albums will be a pin, except maybe Fuel.

True, other than Fuel and The Memory Remains they really don't play any songs from these three albums. Every now and then they will do something from those albums but it is few and far between.
As long as orion makes the cut I'm good. I wonder how many songs they will use. I gotta think its going to be heavy on the older stuff, as people have said they still play a lot of that live.
If they make an master of puppets le with the album cover as the backglass and keep the theme going on the cabinet artwork - that will be epic!
Yeah...endless Photoshop opportunities!
Quoted from o-din:As great as Metallica is, Maiden actually might be more suited in the pinball world. Think of the artwork possibilities! Prototype translite-
Songlist anyone?

Just think of the playfield toys!
Wouldn't it be simpler to buy 'any' pinball machine you like and play Metallica in the background on your stereo, etc.? Play any / every song you like & avoid those you don't. Sound quality would be far better too. (your system dependent, of course)
In addition to some of the obvious hits (there's probably no getting around them including Seek and Destroy, Sandman etc), I think these would be awesome in the game:
Metal Militia
Ride the Lightning
Creeping Death
Battery
The Thing That Should Not Be
Damage Inc
Sanitarium
Blackened
And Justice for All
Holier Than Thou
That Was Just Your Life

Well, that wouldn't be a Metallica pinball would it? I mean, you didn't buy just any old pinball and turn on Tron in the background...
The art should follow the direction when they were using Pushead for their album covers. And personally anything that came after the Napster fiasco really isn't true Metallica anyway. Not that this would ever happen but just my .02
Quoted from jarjarisgod:One thing is for sure... If they include "Fuel" there is no way in hell I will buy it.
I'm not a big fan of that era of Metallica, but 'Fuel' has one hell of a hook. I could see it fitting in with the pin perfectly.

Pushead designed the St. Anger cover art. Listen to Death Magnetic, its a great "return to form" album.

I did get the Death Magnetic, and I do agree that it was definitely a "return to form" album, and not half bad at that. I could whine about what I don't like about that album, but that would be another discussion for another thread in another forum. lol

Death Magnetic is pretty good, but still doesn't sound like old Metallica to me. Honesty, I like Garage Inc. better.
I am totally old-school Metallica. However, I do think Load & ReLoad are good records, they just aren't Metallica records. I thoroughly enjoy the second half of Load in particular, especially the heavy Lynyrd Skynyrd sound. Should have been released under a different band name.
