Linked Games

I have decided to continue the 80's System1 collect . (after Totem and Dragon)
I have just found a Buck Rogers for a good price (->170 euros) . I haven't seen it but I'ts booked. Plenty gamers say it has a good play and ipdb give a good notation - The average price is generally 400 euros - so i can fix for the difference ..

I need to prepare my christmas gift in advance...and prices rise generally in september .
Take the summer-special offers..

(I like to buy in august when Operators (thanks SC) have gone, but i'll be by you (Vegas and more..) at this moment - A reason more to buy now !

Just the link of the machine on ipdb to refresh your memory

Hum...i do like this hobby.

It has a great backglass that gives a "wow" factor when new people walk into to see your pins. Good score.

I loved my buck rogers, I wish I never had to sell it but I needed money to pay for a TZ....

I will again own one, someday.

My first pin was Buck, really fun classic pin!

You trying to get all the System 1 games Lionel? I have two and just from that I think you're setting yourself up for never having to be without a machine that needs work.

I restored a Countdown and it is rock solid.
However I used a Rotendog PS and Pascal Janin CPU. Original Driver PCB and all harnesses received new contacts. As I said runs rock solid.
Restoring a Buck Rogers and a Joker Poker right now but I am going to use the Pascal all-in-one PCB for the electronics.

@Letter K : You're right . But it's little special - Two houses <-> Two yards

Home 1 : LAH+Totem ok
Panthera (mylar replacement just arrived from US = to do)
Canada dry - 80% ok - remains a relay 0 issue on eject Outhole.
Earthshaker : Waiting a pinsider VIP ---->> Who is it ?
Big Game = stored , purchased just for price -

Home 2 : Dragon = just electronic to solve = connectors needed - IN progress
Buck rogers = purchasing in progress

LB45 is built on Unix System (Share-time , Multitask and Robust)

@Pdman = Hope i have not to use a new PCB - The last one (Alltek) was expensive
(That's the reason to take a prefered range - you can swap , and optimize kit from bigdaddy?)

lb45, you should check out the Pascal Janin PCBs for System 1 games.
here's his page.
http://www.flippp.fr/

He is in France as well.

His CPU add many more features to the System 1 games and are "Rock Solid" and engineered to prevent any of the issues associated with the original CPU and Driver board destruction issues. Diagnostics are better and a bunch of options not available on the original CPU or the NiWumph CPU are on Pascal's CPU.

And Pascal is a great guy, never fails to return emails and provides great customer service. I'm sure anyone who has dealt with Him will say the same thing.

I have 2 or 3 Gottlieb CPUs that work but I spent the extra cash for the Janin CPU because I feel in every aspect it is worth it over the original CPU.

I have two all in ones that are going into Buck and Joker.

I think your collection is really shaping up nice lb45,
Hope one day to play a 'Buck Rogers' pin if I ever come across one.

but I was thinking about that Canada Dry pin -perhaps its not the 'o' relay?
sometimes its the bonus unit under the playfield .

I was down at ju ju when they got a call that one was up for grabs in SF. Literally right there out on the street. But no truck, and I wasn't dying for that one so I let it pass.

But another guy at ju ju got the same offer prior to that.

A Twilight Zone. And he got it.
