Buck Rogers tilt problem

Ok so we bought this Buck Rogers from a working arcade. Well the tilt weight was never on. Well tonight I put the weight on and when I tested the tilt out it went to straight lamp test mode, plus now B.U.C.K. that use to scroll with the poppers doesn't now. I have a manual but it really doesn't go in great detail on what happens when you press the button on the inside of the door.

When there's any strange behavior that's tilt related, I check the strip of diodes in the cabinet and double check the wiring on the tilt switches (that have the quick disconnect connectors to make sure they weren't swapped around).
