I just installed new LED displays from Boston Pinball Company into my Buck Rogers which had 3 terminally exhausted displays and figured I’d share my review and pictures for others who may be considering the same. These install very easily and will install into a machine with new MPU and Power supply. These are super bright at full setting and these pictures were taken at the lowest dim setting. I installed deep blue filters (plastic transparent file folders from Staples cut to fit display) awhile back for the VFDs due to removal of the flaked factory painted filter and they work nicely with these LEDs and completely black out the display window when not lit. These LED displays are very true to the original VFDs and other than the deep blue color one would have a hard time telling the difference.
