Buck Rogers ball will not eject to start game

Hi, just joined the group. We picked up a working Buck Rogers, took it home set it up and it turns on but when you start the game the ball no longer ejects to start the game, if I manually put the ball in play the game works... any thoughts??

Is the launch coil firing? If not, check for bad coil and or broken/detached coil wire.

Do you hear a mechanical sound trating to launch?

Coil is not firing, it was just working the night before when we picked it up. Once I move the ball out of the drain, the game starts.

Check continuity.
And fuses.

Check all the connectors first.! Big chance they all have corrosion.Specialy connector A1J5.
Otherwise the driverboard is the problem perhaps..
