Buccaneer
Gottlieb, 1976I can’t seem to get my spinner to not cause a ball hang up on my Buccaneer. The spinner spins freely and is aligned left to right straight. It does however have a forward lean that doesn’t want to go away. Is it just a matter of playing with the post tension and posting a little more on the mount?

If I remember correctly, there should be a small plastic washer on the spinner shaft that keeps it centered. I will post a picture when I get a chance soon.
Good point. I don’t have washers on the spinner to hold the spinner arm to activate the switch in place. I’ll see if what I have fit and see if it addresses the resting spinner position. Thanks
Also the machine had he post fitted when I got it so assumed it was factory with the spinner shaft hole being where it was but ipdb images do show otherwise
That post does not belong there. Our game doesn’t have it and the game manual with the playfield diagram doesn’t show it either.

Here are pictures of the tiny plastic washer that goes on the spinner shaft. This keeps the vertical wire from binding.
The two posts on the right, front and back, on your game should not be there and it’s baffling why someone would put them there to begin with.

Well, that’s interesting. I retract that last statement as until now I never noticed the small hole in front of the spinner which apparently is meant for the small post to protect the spinner wire. Guess I’ll have to look for one!
The one in the back does not appear to be original though.
Here’s a pic of what the post on my Ship Ahoy looks like.
Could the leaf switch under the playfield be adjusted too high causing the rod through the playfield to hold the spinner in a weird position?
