Please contact me , I search so long
Many many thanks Manuel
Hello,
I have the number 028 for trade with the number 318 ... When you search Original Number you can find it here :
https://www.vegas-store.de/shop/flipper/ersatzteile-und-zubehoer/item/cactus-canyon-collectors-plate
Nice day bye Manuel
My mine motor stopped working. The tip102 on the small motor driver board under the playfield was bad. This is not the first time, I had already replaced it in the past.
Is this a common issue? Have others also needed repair? Or just my machine ?
Hey guys - just making a repro part announcement. I began making repro MRS' (as found in CC) earlier this year - but only announced on the RFM page (they are handmade and didn't want to get overwhelmed with orders). I wanted to branch out a little more to other pin clubs that utilize this crazy unobtanium switch....the MRS stands for Magnetic Reed Switch - and they are also found in CV, NBAFB, SWEP1, SC and NGG...the went unobtanium almost a dozen years ago or so - so my partner and I at M&M Creations decided to remake them. Our MRS is plug/play - it is lighter, thinner and more sensitive than the original MRS. You can see a pic of the repro MRS solo and in a lineup with an original Williams MRS, a Sega MRS (used in Maverick, Space Jam and SW:Trilogy) and a repro M&M Creations MRS. I'm going to start making some more again (a good winter thing to do) and wanted to get a list going...just PM if interested!

MRS-R (resized).jpgmrs_compare (resized).jpgQuoted from Skypilot:I’m getting hung up I’m not sure how my bad guy supposed to interact and not the ball off.
Your Bad Guy is not springing back to the right. You must have a broken or dislocated spring. I took my glass off and made sure he springs back to right when pushed left.
What spring? I rebuilt the unit using pics of its former self and looked at the specs (what good they were). What did I miss?
Why not!? We figured since we have an MRS for Diner, Transporter & Creech's bowl.....might as well make for Cactus......look for an official announcement in a couple days when the proto testing is complete this weekend....(remember, it's blue for testing/visibility...that's not the actual color - unless you like it that way)....
Matt
IMG_05601 (resized).jpgRigorous testing completed.....success....so another MRS for Cactus Canyon announcement....an MRS for the CC bowl....works smashingly - just like the MRS for Diner, CFTBL & Transporter....but this one has a mechanical connection instead of self-adhesive....we felt the ball swirls around the CC bowl too violently for self-adhesive tape - so a simple bolt (which is supplied with the MRS ) connects it directly to a post - installation takes about 5-10minutes and is largely invisible once installed.....like our other MRS' - this one is $30 plus $4.75 for domestic first-class shipping (insurance and international shipping are extra)....just PM me if interested......

They didn't have decals, mine is screen printed.

Well I joined the club as I just got a HUO CC from a original owner/Pinsider TRUMETLAR. Wow! To say the least this CC had less than 100 plays on it and shows it too. A pinball buddy said it looks like it was in a time capsule as it's so clean and appears to have never been serviced and/or touched by anyone other than LEDs were installed. Had to replace the pop bumper skirts as they were broken/brittle due to age. Replaced all rubber and changed/added my style of LEDs. I think it turned out great!
I feel like the luckiest guy to have purchased this machine in it's condition. A big thank you goes out to TRUMETLAR as this was one of his prize machines!

Congrats and enjoy!!
Next you need to wake up those 6 shooters.
[quoted image]
Wow... did you make those yourself or are they available to buy?
Quoted from Mik-ReadingUK:Wow... did you make those yourself or are they available to buy?
Agreed, nice 6 shooters. Where can we have them done?
The handles are the standard grey ones that were air brushed, I'll have to dig up the info and get back to you, right now I can't seem to find the painter, but he was from an auto body shop in Ca.
The black barrels were sent to Hot Rod Arcade, Chris Royalty to be done.
I gave myself freedom of choice, but I seem to like the gold best.
Just a heads up, you'll need plenty of patience and the handles and barrels were not cheap, but they do look great don't they.
Anyone bought the "Cactus Canyon - CUSTOM BLACK MIRROR Gun Handle Set" from Pinball Decals? Can you please take a photo and show how those gun handles look?
You can find the gun handles on this webpage: https://www.pinballdecals.com/PartsByGamePages/CC_Page.html#

Now you just need a continued kit. Then you can really enjoy that machine!
Quoted from Pinmeister:Just a shout out to Sonic at M&M creations. I just installed the CC magnetic reed switch and it works great! Its a nice easy upgrade for anyone who owns CC.
Thanks for the kind words George. If you can, maybe post a pic of your pin....thanks again for your order!

May I ask what that is?
Thanks!!

Sure thing...if you look a few posts back you'll see some additional pics and descriptions - but in short...an MRS stands for: magnetic reed switch - it takes the place of the common Cherry switch as found in the playfield, ramps - and this case - bowls....because the MRS is contactless - it allows for a greater amount of spins and greater consistency as the ball smacking the switch lever is no longer a function...this particular MRS is custom for the skill-shot bowl, however, MRS' were also an original part in Cactus Canyon - in fact, there were several WMS pins that had them stock....M&M Creations not only makes the custom MRS George is showing, but also remade the previously, unobtainium, stock MRS' found in Cactus.....

Yes, they look amazing! Great mod upgrade. Let us all know who did your handles and the costs if possible. Thanks for showing.

Agreed, but not sure if I want to change it do to this one being so close to new and untouched. Question, where do you purchase a continued kit from? Is it a complete set up and works from the original on/off switch?
Let me know.

You should contact Eric ( @ epthegeek ) Just PM him and he will fill you in on the details. Continued takes CC to whole new level of fun. It completes the code and ads lots of extra modes sounds and routines. Continued is worth every penny of the cost and makes owning an original something special.

Thank you for the information, I will touch base with Eric and probably upgrade to the continued platform.
Hi!
I have CCC running on Windows7. For some reason, when I boot the pin up, many times the computer does not recognize the display correctly and starts the screen with a wrong resolution in such manner that the letters are way too big and only a partial screen is visible. It almost looks like only 1/4 of the screen is displayed. I then reboot the machine and at some point it starts correctly.
I began to have the problem when I added bluetooth-dongle to the headphone out so that the headphone out is now splitted to output audio to bluetooth dongle and the amplifier.
I had set originally the correct display resolution. The other thing that might cause problems that I have the pin plugged in electricity only when I play it and last time when I had the problems, I noticed that the high scores were emptied.
Anybody with a similar problem and how to fix it?
Also: did anybody compile CCC for Raspberry Pi with colored graphics in the end? If so, please PM me!
Thanks!

Is there a thread on what you are doing with the Raspberry Pi? I love those! I'm also looking for collector plate #563.
Has anyone put together a topper? I've put a cheap LED cactus on mine which helps it stand out in the front row at my club, but I'd be interested in ideas for something more impressive, such as a diarama with saloon/sheriff's office/whatever. Or maybe a stagecoach and horses...mike.
ccc2 (resized).pngI made a topper out of a Cactus Canyon lunch box. I sold the game last year, but still have the lunch box topper.

I am thinking about modding the lamp part away and using this as a topper:

Here's a picture of the problem with resolution, I do not know why the PC cannot remember the correct setting.

Owners of CC that have powdercoated your pin, could you please post pictures? I am trying to get some inspiration to update the outlook of my CC. Chrome would be a good choice, but its a bit too dear for me, so I am thinking about powdercoating - I just do not have a clue of which color to use. I would not want to wait until CGC releases CCR LE and see what they have deemed as best color for it
Thanks!
