Quoted from insight75:Holy Wow. I can't believe he is 61!!!
Quoted from djsoup:Lol. Don’t forget the cake toppers!
Obviously. No corners will be cut!
Has anyone suggested that while delayed & waiting to plunge a callout says “What’s wrong McFly??? Chicken?!”
Quoted from crujones4life:Anyone else watching BTTF tonight?
Building the new Lego Delorean.
A flux capacitor ball lock is a must right? I can imagine the balls completing the three ends of the “Y” and then lighting up the time circuits. What an awesome effect it would be to see the balls cause the lights to start strobing?!
Left ramp lock. Right ramp lock. Center ramp lock. Three locks when lit move three diverters to the flux capacitor endpoints.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:After seeing Toy Story 4 JJP would likely make the flux capacitor a 10" LCD...
Would love to see the LZ expression side cabinet lighting return for a time circuits affect, better yet would be the Star Trek LE exterior and interior cabinet lighting!
1: No doubt. Gross!
2: The expression lights would work great in creating the strobes and flame trails of reaching 88 mph to travel through time.
I didn’t know about these episodes from this series. Discovery doesn’t think it’s a dated title. https://simkl.com/tv/1557652/expedition-back-to-the-future

Nice quote! I forgot he said that.
Regarding this interview... LOL!

Quoted from crujones4life:I'm just happy that Todd Tuckey said it's coming! SLE can be $25,000. Only gonna make 88 of those anyway. My guess is $9,999 premium and LE somewhere in between.
Quoted from crujones4life:I'm just happy that Todd Tuckey said it's coming! SLE can be $25,000. Only gonna make 88 of those anyway. My guess is $9,999 premium and LE somewhere in between.
Quoted from crujones4life:Well Bond is a cornerstone (apparently) so what could the next Kapow be?
[quoted image]
Talk to me about the pros/cons/differences of Kapow doing it, please. I’m too new to know much of the industry details. Thx.
Quoted from crujones4life:Biggest con is going to be the cost. Entry level is the premium usually sold at a even higher cost than a cornerstone premium. No pro model.
Biggest pro is every trim level has the same gameplay and we get the most out of the license (presumably).
Two tiers, premium and SLE? Or is there another level in between?
Also, who builds the machine? Kapow line or Stern factory? Is there an expectation of better quality? Standard Stern flippers and Spike 2 boards or something custom? Insider connected still a part of it, etc etc. Idk I’m just thinking of how little I know.
Quoted from crujones4life:I hope that the new Bond game does not have a car mech as I have seen mention a few times of a killer car mech being developed at Stern. If Bond doesn't have a car mech, it has to be the DeLorean.
The guy I bought my HW from outside of Chicago has an absolute massive collection and unique one offs and protos that he’s acquired from designers and execs. Seemed pretty plugged in. He eluded to it being Bond, Aston Martin.
Is that a good thing? I don’t know his work. Does he have experience with BTTF?
Quoted from crujones4life:[quoted image]
I poked around his website. Seems like he’s got Star Wars nailed! Other stuff is hit or miss for me.
What was the live broadcast about and did he understand the context that you were referring to BTTF for pinball?
Quoted from Grantman:These prices are bonkers. $13k for the Bond LE! Curious what the Kapow BTTF tiers will be.
Todd Tuckey said $25,000
Quoted from djsoup:My distro said they are expecting another Stern game announcement in Jan after the Elwin Bond 60th game. It probably wont be BTTF.. but I can still hope it is!
Did they say prob not BTTF or is that your speculation?
Quoted from djsoup:it might cause issues with current production/orders if people decide to bail.. ?
Either pump out another grail title and capitalize on the higher prices while the market can support them or keep that theme in the back pocket for a rainy day when sales slow down.
Quoted from toyotaboy:which would you choose?
Quoted from djsoup:I reeeeeealllly hope they take advantage of the expression lights for lightning and fire trails.
Even if it was used similar to TS4 for fire trails along the shooter lane. 88mph skill shot off the plunge.
Excited to start my BTTF advent calendar today! The detail on these sets for what they are is incredible. For a kid’s toy? Nah, they know it’s for Dads. My wife got this for me...

If you’re near MSU, I’m closer Dibs!
Or just hit me up with a PM and we get together for some pinball and beers.
Quoted from toyotaboy:I don't know if we'll see fusion power plants installed in cars. By the time we have fusion energy, we'll have super fast charging batteries with probably 10 times the capacity we have now, so you won't need to generate it on demand.
Hydrogen fuel cells are greatly superior to battery technology in cars and available now. Filling station infrastructure easy conversion as well. Oil interests with lobbying/mob power are the only reason internal combustion is still forced upon us.
Quoted from toyotaboy:I think hydrogen never took off because of the safety of transporting hydrogen, plus it requires iridium for the electrolysis process (which is a very rare earth material). I don't think they figured out an alternative material to scale it up.
Don’t have to transport it if you process it on board. Fill ‘er up with H2O
Quoted from crujones4life:I'm about to join the OG BTTF club next weekend! This game is clean! Got typical wear at the ball drop. Look at the cabinet! I can't wait!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Pretty slick! You must’ve been on the hunt somewhere tricky. I haven’t seen any come up recently. Especially that nice!
Quoted from crujones4life:It's time to go back...to the future!!!
[quoted image][quoted image]
That’s awesome! Keep the pics coming and you promised to share details when it was a done deal. Congratulations!
Quoted from JakePG:2) Will we get fucked with boutique pricing?
No. The franchise is too widespread not be marketed to a broad audience. Although I could see a SLE release of which a portion of the profits benefit the MJF foundation. However, it would hopefully be the same game with autographs or special art, not a new layout like Bond 60th. Booooooo. Hiss. This is a players game, not a fancy collector’s title.
Quoted from crujones4life:Ummm...thanks? Lol. Life is short brother. It's only money.
Maybe Cru is writing it off as a business expense. By now Stern better have hired him on as a consultant! DE BTTF is just market research for testing and evaluation purposes.
Quoted from Pinhead1982:BTTF2 is coming, but be prepared to drop some serious coin on it.
I reckon $25K for the top tier game.
This is my concern. I want Bond now, but will buy BTTF later. Can’t justify both. Probably.
Quoted from toyotaboy:pricey toy.. still cheaper than a stern topper
Quoted from crujones4life:Brought this home last week. Painted the legs, new leg levelers, new balls, cleaned and waxed and ready to go BACK...TO THE FUTURE!!! Already fully LED'd and has NVRAM.

Quoted from Irishbastard:Exactly...Grabbed mine for like $25 on Amazon.
The first time I saw the ad I thought it was $25 and I was going to send it to Cru as a gift. Then on second look I saw the zero at the end and was like, wtf? Sorry Cru.
Quoted from djsoup:Sharing some of my BTTF collection.
[quoted image]
I always liked that floating Hill Valley sign from 2 on the skyway. I hope that’s integrated into the game or someone makes one. Anybody know of a model or 3D file for it?
Quoted from starfighter:I did grab a few LE foil posters from Andy Fairhurst & Craig Drake when I had a chance.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That last trio picture is especially awesome.
Interesting thought I’d like to hear everyone’s ideas on... What would a custom shooting rod look like for Stern’s BTTF? What item would be on the end? Skateboard wheel, amplifier volume knob, the end of Biff’s cane, time circuit handle, a shooting button rather than rod that speaks the audio callout “shooting mode on, ball shooting, your ball has now been shot” ala self drying jacket scene? I need more thoughts on this.
Quoted from Oneangrymo:Dont know if you already knew this , but Im pretty sure that lady is the cannibal lady from Lexx tv series.

Seems like they have a pretty good track record of licensing themes that correspond to pinball machines. New prediction tool? LOL. I do suggest watching the vids in this link however. So funny! https://www.playmobil.us/play/back-to-the-future/

Which oddly enough fits with “The A-Team” license that Playmobil has. Conspiracy confirmed!
66D2A83B-1A2D-4AEF-9354-D983F30C16FC (resized).jpegA35491A2-AAAB-4C9D-988A-BB41AB6C30BA (resized).jpegLol. Adult swim themed pin confirmed! Btw, does anyone here have A skynet brand 1:43 scale model of the delorean? I’m thinking of putting the BTTF3 version of it in front of the train on my Cactus Canyon pin. I wondered how “heavy” (pun intended) it is if I were to ask the game’s motor to physically push it.
Quoted from djsoup:If it doesn’t work you could still put a Shonash Ravine sign there.
That’s a great idea. And put a Carson Spur sign at the other end of the track. How about a point of no return windmill near the silver (gold) mine?

Lol. Great minds! We rose to the challenge.
Quoted from JakePG:I'm trying to figure out how two regular flippers, two other flippers, and three flippers on one side, fit into a BTTF pin.
I like where your head is at! Same.
Quoted from JakePG:I'm trying to figure out how two regular flippers, two other flippers, and three flippers on one side, fit into a BTTF pin.
Here’s my crude attempt at a flux capacitor upper playfield that fits Keith’s parameters.
3D4504AD-BAFD-4C93-B99F-6D6D10B9CCA1 (resized).jpegQuoted from toyotaboy:So I have a question about the BTTF ride. How exactly does Doc send transmitter frequencies through time to control the 8-passenger delorean remotely, and with real-time accuracy and no lag (IE has feedback of where the DeLorean is flying). It's the same thing I question about the amazon show "the peripheral"
“No one should know too much about their own destiny” - Doc
Quoted from JakePG:Unfortunately, the flux capacitor mock-up doesn't work. There are too many flippers
The bottom center is not a flipper. It would be illustrated artwork in a shape consistent with the “flux flipper” design. Possibly having flasher illumination. The ball would drain below that center image to take the wireform down to lower playfield.
Quoted from djsoup:I like where this is going.. Maybe the flux is a windowed lower playfield? Have that bottom flipper send it around a loop - add a digital display and rip spinners on that baby up to 88mph.
I would love a windowed lower playfield for this purpose, however, that wouldn’t meet the criteria for the other flippers all being on the same side.
Quoted from djsoup:I've seen both a TBL and Munsters on location that get a ton of plays and the top plastic still looks good. The new Bond Prem/LE has one over the divers too.
Verified a Munsters at The Avenue, Lansing tonight. Looks clear.
Quoted from crujones4life:The only question mark is Crispin Glover. We can add him later Cara Dune style.
Kids were messing around with the Playmobil tonight while I watched the Deadflip stream of Elwin’s 60th Bond. Noticed there was a bonus award in his pin called “Crack Shot”. Could this be an easter egg for his BTTF title? *I’ll see if I can get a screen grab of his bonus award later once Jack’s stream is done.

[quoted image]
How about this then...
-
The “Next Stern” thread is discussing Foo Fighters/Nirvana/Dave Grohl being a part of the upcoming cornerstone.
-
Dave Grohl was drumming for Nirvana in 1993 when this happened > “Red Hot Chili Peppers’ very own bass player, Flea, joined Nirvana on stage for a special rendition of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’.”
-
Flea played Needles in BTTF
-
Therefore the connection between Stern and Dave Grohl is actually code for Flea who is a part of BTTF and the next cornerstone.
-
See photographic evidence, lol.

It’s old but I don’t think many heard it. Between the two timestamps I listed, Dwight says “The Future” about 5 times while acting coy about what he was talking about. He was intentional about his word choice. Also try 5:17:10

Quoted from vgatchaman:Probably reading way too much into this, but it's funny that they're playing a game about catching frisbees and BTTF pt. 3 had a whole bit about the pie tins being Frisbees.

Absolutely should. Make like a tree, and get outta here!
So if JPP has Harry Potter does that accelerate Stern releasing BTTF to beat them to the flood of cash? https://www.knapparcade.org/post/joe-kaminkow-states-that-jersey-jack-pinball-has-the-happy-potter-license
Quoted from Haymaker:the only cast member they will get to do custom callouts will be Don Fullilove (Mayor Goldie Wilson). just a gut feeling I have. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I’m hoping for Doc Brown. Christopher Llyod has been very fan forward. He’s likely to embrace the roll if asked. Fingers crossed!
What other license besides Harry Potter is a holy grail license that would compete and win for dollars spent by consumers? I don’t think Stern is going to lay back and let JJP rake it in. They will get the assets and do it right. If a slot machine company can get the assets so can Stern. Also: original actor voice seeded AI is doing a darn good job recreating audio likenesses. No studio voiceover work required.
Quoted from Haymaker:You're misunderstanding me. What I'm saying is you guys hopes and dreams for what will be in this game are likely not going to be what ends up being reality. Trust me, BTTF is my dream theme too.
This wont be another TS4. Bet on it.
Quoted from Haymaker:I'm not saying it will be that either. I'm just saying its going to be along the lines of what we can already expect from pinball companies. I should just say Stern because if anyone is making BTTF it'll be Stern (unless you count Kapow as a seperate pinball entity than Stern). When is the last time Stern used anything more than a very low tier celeb for call outs? The days of getting the entire cast of Star Trek to do call outs are over. Ghostbusters used Ernie Hudson, and no disrespect to him at all but lets be honest he's by far the cheapest guy in the group to hire. I would love if Stern hired Christopher Lloyd for callouts but I just feel like theres no way thats going to happen. We're going to get guided by Mayor Goldie Wilson and we'll just hope for good sound a likes or movie clips for the rest. Maybe...MAYBE we'll get lucky and get Tom Wilson (which would be fuckin sweet) but it would be weird to have the antagonist of the series be the main voice of the game. Maybe we could get Tom and Don. I'm just trying to be realistic here. It would not shock me if it was an "all new" BTTF story ALA Jurrassic Park either. I could see where maybe now its up to Biff to save the day in the Delorean but that would not bode well for getting MJF in the game. I guess we'll see, but these are my feelings which are based in recent history.
It’s either Doc doing the original trilogy or his kids (Jules & Verne) doing a new storyline. None of the other 2nd tier characters make sense leading the progression through the ruleset.
Quoted from Haymaker:Good lord please don't let it be Jules and Verne lmao
Einstein or Copernicus?
Apparently the franchise is being used again for an attraction at Universal CityWalk in Orlando. Assets could lend themselves to a pinball machine with a similar storyline premise. https://www.backtothefuture.com/news/2022/12/9/universal-orlandos-first-ever-escape-room-experience-universals-great-movie-escape-is-now-open-at-universal-citywalk

Back to the Future: OUTATIME
Guests are transported to a museum in 1993, where they learn Back to the Future’s antagonist, Biff, is up to his antics and has stolen Doc Brown’s newest time travel device to sabotage the space-time continuum. Guests must work together to uncover Doc Brown’s clues as they travel through time to track down Biff and save the past and future before they run “outatime.”
Quoted from Haymaker:Is it theoretically possible? Sure...I guess. Is it likely? NO
Bruce Willis provided his digital rights for a Russian phone commercial. Anything is possible. Nobody said it was likely Stern would do this and I’m not delusional. I think you need to come to the realization that this technology has been used plenty and will only continue to be used more prominently. Tarkin and Princess Leia were both recreated digitally for Rogue One. With JJP getting Tim Allen, Jim Hanks and Annie Potts to do custom callouts for TS4 you must realize that tier 1 voiceover work is more likely than ever.
Quoted from djsoup:Same... what about one of the Jennifers doing callouts?
Please no. Maybe Mr. Strickland, but he’s 92 years old.
CA3D9649-9B80-47D2-A474-1A343E0912DA (resized).jpegHaymaker I wish you would pee in someone else’s pool. Find your happy place because this one’s mine.

For the record, all of the Foo Fighters did or were set to record their own callouts until their drummer died. They put everything on hold until they figure out what to do to pay respect to Taylor. So yeah I think personalities have taken an interest in this hobby and want to be a part of the finished product.
Quoted from Haymaker:not dream about pie in the sky hopes and dreams that will leave me disappointed when it comes out
You want that? Check out the hype thread for GTF. They actually joked about the turret being a pleasure cannon when folded down. I think everything mentioned here is realistic. Just depends on if Stern wants to see it through or skimp. I think they learned their lesson on Bond.

Btw im so ducking glad i have Oktoberfest in my collection. If you guys haven’t, I highly recommend playing or picking up that title. Prost!
Quoted from Grantman:That's an interesting tidbit. We are either a month away or 13 months away.
I keep thinking that the rumors about BTTF were relatively plentiful in 2021 so it should be soon, right? It's entirely possible that BTTF is before Jaws on the list of Elwin games.
Only wrench is that we’ve heard leaks about Jaws mechs but nothing about the BTTF playfield.
Quoted from toyotaboy:Based on the foo fighters van, there will probably be a flat plastic on the low model, and a real 3d delorean on higher tiers (but probably not lights). I'd like to think they would grab one of the many off-the-shelf existing delorean models, but I think Stern also learned their lesson with Tron when it comes to supply chain.
Bond DB5 is on both pro/prem
Quoted from crujones4life:Alright y'all latest rumor per Kaneda is BTTF is finally coming (didn't say when) from a company other than Stern (didn't say who...he did say it's NOT Homepin). Everyone buying regardless of MFG? You know I am. Any preference for MFG if it can't be Stern? I'd prefer Dutch, CGC, or JJP.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Not CGC bc we might all be dead by the time they ship. Hope it’s not a P3 module either.
At least if it’s Dutch we know there’s no fear of cake toppers for the sculpts/toys https://www.knapparcade.org/post/dutch-pinball-announces-partnership-with-the-art-of-pinball
Quoted from crujones4life:Oh shit! He did say Stern did not have BTTF... I absolutely didn't believe it at the time. Maybe it's because he knows Dutch is doing it and he is doing the art?
Yeti said Stern didn’t have BTTF. Did you hear that from Franchi as well?
Quoted from aldrichg9:I'd be down for a JJP for sure
After the last few Stern games I am seriously doubting that I would buy a Stern BTTF without having plenty of time on one.
Foo seems ok but I’m not really invested in the storyline. Bond was a huge letdown for me in that it feels disorganized with no soul. Doesn’t seem like the game is building up to any special moments. Just feels very disorganized. Venom is too battle centric for me. If I wanted to play a fighting game I would do a console or arcade version. BTTF is a trilogy and needs a game that can span the timelines and hit the high notes. In that sense a JJP experience like Pirates, WOZ, or Wonka would get the job done. Dutch Brothers would pack the machine the most full with homages to the films (ala TBL), however, I admit I’ve never played one and can’t say how they do for programming the rules and depth of code.
Quoted from Grantman:Whoa! If the cabinet was shaped liked a DeLorean (last image), that would be amazing!
Can you imagine taking a Hercules cabinet and retheming it like this?! It would actually be somewhat doable.
Quoted from crujones4life:This is the HYPE thread. WE HYPE IN HERE![quoted image]
Quoted from crujones4life:Look at this bad boy with a stainless steel frame!

Nice. Is Ross like a TJ Maxx thing? I’ve seen that tag before.
Could API do it? It’s been real quiet over there.
*Be the manufacturing partner to a different designer that is.
Could multiple manufacturers be contracted to build the machines simultaneously? Kapow owned but built by Stern, CGC, etc. as a way to spread the burden of demand over a few company’s production lines...
Quoted from toyotaboy:Uhh.. what is cary hinting at the end of his video? Barrels of fun bttf Oct 2024?
Quoted from Grantman:strange that Universal would choose to go with a small European company with not much of a track record rather than the biggest pinball maker in the world that they have successfully worked with before.
Blame bobwiley I guess
Quoted from bobwiley:I said to look at other manufacturers than stern. He wrote down what I said.
Quoted from bobwiley:see a manufacturer slap a plastic clock tower with flashers and one loop you get up to 88 mph and then call it a day on that one gimmick.
Venom has a real bell in its tower! Lol
Quoted from Crabspirits:I want a Delorean cabinet.
I want a flux capacitor
I want a lower playfield
I want an "88mph" spinner.
I want a Biff's cane plunger.
I want exploding amplifier laser kickback.
I want a crazy EL and flashbulb light show.
I want two "Johnny Be Good" MB for upper and lower playfields, and a "Too Darn Loud" MB.
I want Alan Silvestri score, and "Back In Time", or don't even bother making it.
Crabspirits vs Gary Stern
Quoted from toyotaboy:"The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine why not do it with some style?"
Love the TMC badge on the frunk!
Quoted from Thor_Odinson:Stern is the biggest and undisputed king of pinball at the moment, how would it be possible that they wouldn't get the biggest licenses that everyone wants, like LoTR, Indy, and BTTF? Also, shouldn't we want Stern to get these licenses? They pump out games and release frequent code updates. I don't want a smaller company to have these S tier licenses.
Stern botched the Bond code, is focused on making a leveling up system to push more people towards IC, and prioritizes tournament players with their rule sets. I want someone who exhibits the level of passion that BoF just demonstrated with Labyrinth. Connery Bond is a dream theme for me but the layout is lackluster and the code is confusing. Bond’s artwork, the topper, and mechs are so uninspiring. No passion or sense of adventure. I feel like I’m a player shooting Bond themed shots rather than being drawn into the universe as the character in that world.
Going to need more than a wobbly razor crest, stationary Grogu doll, and irrelevant vertical playfield to wow me on BTTF.
Quoted from Grantman:Elwin would be awesome but I don't know how that would work if Stern doesn't have the license.
Who or what is Silverpaolo?
Wonder if Elwin’s contract allows him to freelance for other companies...
Quoted from crujones4life:I am going to guess $25000.
That’s what Todd Tuckey guessed in a video last year.
Quoted from toyotaboy:Also remember the first TBL games had like every asset in them (clips, music, kaluha logos)
Quoted from bobwiley:I can't see any manufacturer limiting the # of games unless they do some sort of silent auction bids with minimum pricing set
Exactly what they would do for the Michael J Fox foundation. Could be part of the licensing expectations. MJF seems to only sign off on things with that requirement attached.
Quoted from crujones4life:Kman stressed again that everyone we want working on this game is working on this game. He said "you know who I'm talking about...". I cannot wait to find out more details! This is going to be really special...I can feel it!
Any info on expected announcement date or release timeline?
Quoted from jsyjay:Officially license trilogy poster set available now: https://vice-press.com/products/back-to-the-future-trilogy-poster-set-drew-struzan
There is so much BTTF stuff being licensed at the moment there has to be a pinball machine agreement in there somewhere...
With the universal licensing agreement for other bttf artwork do you suppose we get Rich Davies on this project?

Ah I see that now. Borg did the mechanics. However, Kaminkow is also credited with Balcer on the design. I’m down for getting this team together again!

Sega also did several themes that were done again by Stern-

Anything new from K-dogg?
During tonight’s Flip N Out with Friends near the end the guys were talking about all Chris Fanchi’s work as well as rumors of BTTF and getting licensing for actors, and DMC’s Delorean. The guys speculated that DMC is apparently hard to get and then Chris chimed in on the chat saying maybe not... and also answered another question about the possibility of him doing art for BTTF. Connecting the dots with his answer about working with Dutch gives us even more certainty that this is the direction we’re heading. About 2:08:00 in the video
E975BC81-606F-451A-8357-F498B4CC6AA8 (resized).jpegcrujones4life any jaws like kaneda BTTF updates?
30A39778-8538-4AA5-AE69-BADED6B7DE53 (resized).jpegAny of you guys know where to locate rideable BTTF skateboards? I thought the hoverboards were easily sourced but now all I can find are collector grade Madrid 30th anniversary ones and I’m not paying $$$ for a wall hanger that my 6 year old wants to ride. Any ideas on look alikes that are functional for kids? My son is asking for a Christmas present.
Quoted from transprtr4u:If its DP and Lior making the game , don't know how they will be able to produce them fast enough !
That’s the scary part. A small company like Dutch would be more likely to make a boutique style SLE (ala Kapow) than churn out Stern pro-esque machines for the masses. It’ll really stink if the price and limited production causes many to miss out.
Quoted from crujones4life:This is kinda weird...posted by Arcade Rescue 911 outta Indiana. They are a Stern distro.

That guy’s got some talent. Faces are a little off but his use of shading and perspective really make his pieces pop.
Quoted from crujones4life:[quoted image]
Hot take. No chance for Stern to Fup our dream theme.
Quoted from crujones4life:I am abstaining from any BTTF movies until the pin comes though...like a fighter not having sex a week before the fight.
[quoted image]
No way Kapow and Dutch with recent Art of Pinball partnership are coming together for a no asset game. Also Franchi saying licensing is maybe easier than we all think adds to this fact. Stern probably screwed it up and balked at the fee thinking they could throw their weight around. If Lebowski is any indicator for how Dutch handles its assets I think we’re in good hands for BTTF.

Zombie Yeti has said in an interview that Stern does not have BTTF.
Posted this in the next Stern thread in case anyone here hasn’t been following along over there. Good conversations happening.

I could see a pin working minus MJF if the story revolved around the player being the time traveler. Very similar to “BTTF: The Ride” at Universal Studios. That’s not what I want however. I want skateboard/ hoverboard scenes with Marty. Modes where you hit shots around the playfield to escape Biff’s chase and cause him to crash into manure. I want a mode where you have to track Biff down and collect the sports almanac. A mode where you have to get Marty’s parents to fall in love by completing guitar chords of the earth angel song on stage and then trigger Johnny B Goode multiball when you complete it. I want a BTTF3 train mode where you build up the explosive charges to get the speed up to 88 before crashing into Clayton Ravine. And I can do more. Fact is most of us want to relive the trilogy alongside Marty and Doc. Not star in the world that they built with new/ unfamiliar tasks.
Dutch designed and licensed with Stern production and economy of scale for cost advantage? I like it.
Quoted from toyotaboy:Right .. he's the voice actor on the telltale bttf game
Whoa. That’s impressive!
Quoted from Rizmo:If Stern does have BTTF I would hope they would go with Franchi over Zombi Yeti. That is just me but who ever they choose I know would they would make amazing art
I liked ZY on Ghostbusters. His arrangement and color was fresh. Everything since has been too samey though. That palette wont work for BTTF. Franchi makes beautiful photorealistic pictures but there’s not a lot of style in that. Godfather was a little too photo collage-y for me. His Batman 66 was better. Looking at etsy artists, there are many talented BTTF illustrators but I doubt Stern would use an outsider. From comments on podcasts interviews and in chat ZY says he’s not doing it and knows someone better for the job, and Franchi has offered his .02¢ about getting the license. Therefore I’m guessing Franchi. Oh and there’s his relationship with Joe Kaminkow and the mural commissioned for his garage. Please Chris make the artwork come to life with some action and scenery not just the subject matter in a collage. https://www.knapparcade.org/post/joe-kaminkow-elected-to-coin-op-hall-of-fame-hint-about-a-future-stern-pinball-title
Bob Gale worked with Matty Collector on the Hoverboard prop/toy. I wasn’t impressed with their excuses for not using a lenticular decal as well as the overall quality of the sticker and design choices elsewhere. I hope many lessons have been learned since then and high end items like Dutch’s pinball machine pay tribute to the films and serve the fans well. At this price, don’t cut corners. My father always said “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right”!

5751640B-3BA3-414D-B67B-89238C581483 (resized).jpegQuoted from greenhornet:I'd be happy knowing that BTTF deposits will not be required to fund AIW builds.
When asked directly about BTTF he said, “I can’t comment on it” and that “it’s always hard with new new projects and new themes nobody can talk about it until an official release”. Timestamp 1:14:15 of The SAPS YIR part 2
*
So in my book, in order to NOT be able to comment on a new project means it HAS to be a project in the first place.
Quoted from toyotaboy:[quoted image][quoted image]
Is he releasing it on the same SAPS podcast or is Dinner Party a new thing?
Quoted from toyotaboy:[quoted image]
Dude’s a time traveler. What came first, the chicken or the egg?
Quoted from Apollo18:Then who’s doing the callouts, Einstein ?
Quoted from toyotaboy:A "voice actor" for sam elliot does all the callouts on the latest code.
Quoted from ZombiePartie:Probably that kid that did callouts for those games
If I could have only one cast member for callouts I’d want Christopher Lloyd, but based on TBL voice actor and the BTTF panel not knowing about a pin, my money is on AJ Locascio doing Marty. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/sound-byte-back-to-the-future-voice-actor-aj-locascio/1100-6320293/
I hope there are movie quotes saved to play on idle by pressing the flipper button before start. “Whatchu lookin’ at butthead?”, “What’s wrong McFly, chicken?!”, “You know what you are? A SLACKER!”, “what’s it gonna be McFly, are you IN or OUT?”
Quoted from toyotaboy:On one of the virtual pins, if you beat the high score it had a clip from the third movie.. "what's your name dude?!"... enter initials... "What kind of stupid name is that?"
I just chuckled watching and thinking of how that would play out. Perfection!
If there’s even going to be an SLE model I guarantee it will be tied to the MJF foundation. Many of his big licensing deals are.
I’m going to need some “Hype” in here along with all this “bend me over” banter. Keep seeing new posts only to get fooled by pricing speculation and production fear mongering.
Quoted from Roostking:look at how fast TBLs are shipping to understand what the wait could be for back to the future.
Is there a DP BTTF pin now? No. So I’m waiting for it to be made. Therefore why does it matter how long I wait after it’s announced? As long as I’m not invoiced and expected to pay in full for something that will never be delivered. The alternative to waiting is to not have an amazing new BTTF pin at all. I don’t want to live in that alternate timeline.

Cru you’re missing some BTTF action in the API thread. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-next-american-pinball/page/90#post-8090006
Quoted from Grantman:No recent podcast from Franchi that was supposed to include an interview with Joe Kaminkow
Quoted from toyotaboy:Yes I dont get the point of franchi posting about a special podcast with kaminkow in February then nothing. Either you have access to talk about things or you don't.
I asked Chris in chat about it during the flip n out stream tonight. He said he’s recording the show with Joe K tomorrow and that the delay getting it done was due to the passing of his father. Again, all my sympathies Chris. Love and support from your fans. Can’t wait to hear about what art you’re making.
Quoted from crujones4life:Just curious. Has anyone stopped buying new games until BTTF? Anytime something new gets announced I'm like cool...but it ain't BTTF cool. The only thing I have bought and will continue to buy is low priced EM projects.
Matrix, Top Gun, Harry Potter, THPS, Blues Brothers, Mario, and Sonic would all give me FOMO that’d I’d need to consider. Princess Bride had my attention until it was $11,500 and a P3. We’re talking $100,000 worth of pins. Lol. I’m going to need to get selective.
