Episode 525. From about the hour mark to 1hour 11 minutes. Talk of working with Kaminkow and his company (Aristocrat I think). From Franchi..."nothing announced yet...at least internally...still crossing the Ts and dotting the Is".
"I have not been officially asked to work for stern again, but the answer is no"
"Just because you're working for 4 of their competitors"
"Yea I'm just extremely busy. If Joe Kaminkow has a project that goes to Stern, I will do that for Joe"
"BTTF or harry potter"
"Well nothing yet"
That means currently no BTTF.. YET
Quoted from toyotaboy:Wow, imagine Ben Stiller as marty
"what is this? a hill valley for ants?!"[quoted image]

"He has several irons in several fires." (about Joe Kaminkow)
He (Franchi) also said that something is coming in October!
This is Franchi's mural that is in Kaminkow's garage:

confirmed, next kaminkow title is bullitt
Quoted from toyotaboy:confirmed, next kaminkow title is bullitt
Nope. So far the pattern is skipping over Bullitt and therefore over Ford V. Ferrari. Next pin is BTTF, confirmed!
Quoted from toyotaboy:latest TPN podcast made speculation of super mario, goonies, and BTTF. didnt really say anything, saved it for patreon. half tempted to signup tho i doubt zach can really say much being a distributor.
Which episode number (link?) and about what time into the podcast? It's great that there are so many pinball podcasts but who can (or wants to) listen to all 2 hour shows for the few minutes of content that they are interested in?

I think Deeproot still has Goonies. BTTF is in the works (obviously). Not sure about SMB.

Why “obviously”?
Quoted from Hammerhead:Why “obviously”?
Haha! Maybe "obviously" was a bit much.. but I do believe all the evidence we've seen thus far supports it is in the works.
Quoted from crujones4life:Oh it's most certainly happening. Late 2024 or early 2025.
I personally think it's going to happen sooner than that (it doesn't have to be a 40th anniversary thing). I don't have any strong evidence but it's based on some clues, rumors and other observations.
Not sure if anyone caught Michael J. Fox on CBS This Morning this past Sunday, excellent interview. It would a great gesture if and when this game get's made for Stern to make a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for every game sold. Heck, add on $50 for a pro, $75 for a premium, and $100 for an LE and have it go to his foundation.

Absolutely fantastic idea!
Quoted from djsoup:Yes. lol
My sources are saying the agreement hasn't expired yet.
no.
I'm avoiding doing real work and am also obsessed with the idea of a new BTTF pinball machine (almost as much as crujones4life) so I looked up some more details about the BTTF slot machine (there have been two but I found more info on the more recent one). This is how we know the licensing argument against a BTTF pinball machine getting made is not true.
* "Back to the Future - Back in Time" Video Slots by IGT, released in late 2013/early 2014.
* Audio and video of MJF and Chris Lloyd from the movies. Custom call-outs by both of them (may be impersonator for MJF but sure sounds like him). There is also video of Biff but I didn't see video of any other characters in the online videos I looked at (but Lea Thompson's photo is on the slot squares in the game).
* Music from Huey Lewis and other tracks from the movies.
* I saw a scene with Doc flying the DeLorean (BTTF2) and also the train from BTTF3 so all 3 movies are in it.
What's interesting about this slot machine is that you can choose to play as Marty or as Biff (IGT rep mentioned it but I didn't see a good example of the different gameplay).
Here is a short clip showing some of the video and call-outs in the slot machine (the slot player is also talking, unfortunately):
Here is an interview with an IGT rep going through some of the features of the slot machine:
Longer gameplay (same annoying player, unfortunately):

My dude! Doing work! Won't be much longer now...

This is why I think it happens. This is how they convince everyone to do it. Make a SLE with $1k going to the foundation and I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Quoted from Ballderdash:Go here for many hints. Dwight Sullivan kept slipping in BTTF references. Begins right away at 4:36:22 I think there are more nuggets during their Q&A.
Ooooh is this newer? Can't wait to listen tonight.
Quoted from crujones4life:Ooooh is this newer? Can't wait to listen tonight.
It’s old but I don’t think many heard it. Between the two timestamps I listed, Dwight says “The Future” about 5 times while acting coy about what he was talking about. He was intentional about his word choice. Also try 5:17:10

"You can't ask about the future." I'm not sure if that is a hint or not.

Go to the other time stamps and take it all in as a whole. Demeanor too.

Good stuff! I love when Dwight does that. There was another interview where Dwight said that Hill Valley being in The Getaway may be a foreshadowing of what's to come.
Quoted from Grantman:Predictions for a new BTTF pinball machine from Kapow! and Stern:
Concept: Joe Kaminkow
Design: Keith Elwin
Art: Chris Franchi
Code: Dwight Sullivan
Announcement date: I have a guess!

all accurate except art

I will tell you when we get closer. Sooner than 40th anniversary.
Quoted from toyotaboy:all accurate except art
Franchi did the art for The Beatles and Batman 66, both with Joe Kaminkow. Franchi's mural is in Joe's garage. If it's a Kapow! collaboration, it's almost certainly going to be with Franchi as the artist.

let's say it's iffy then.. franchi no longer works for Stern, and when asked about doing art for "stern" he said possibly if it was through kaminkow.
Hmmmm...
Elwin: "This game's been done forever." This is from a few days ago. He briefly talks about his next game (video below should be at the time where it starts).
A Stern BTTF pinball machine is either the best-kept secret or the worst-kept secret. Of those taking a side, it seems like half the people are saying it's definitely coming and the other half are saying it's definitely not coming (but fewer of those lately). There is chatter/hints that Elwin is doing both Jaws and BTTF. He's finished with one game and started working on the next one so it's possible that they are both coming with the only uncertainty being the order they are made. It could be a Jaws cornerstone in early 2024 but I think it's weird that Stern would leave a completed Elwin game on the shelf for that long. My gut is still telling me that a Kapow! BTTF is coming before then.
There is too much evidence for there not to be one, and they’d be stupid not to. It will print money. 100% happening.

Historically looking at the Kapow!/Stern announcements - they've all been announced in the fall.
