Nobody? Please, I need at least a pic of the area around Doc´s face (as in my pic above)!
I am eager to try to make a decal
Thanks!

Here you go. If you need anything else let me know. I’m lucky to have a beautiful playfield.

You haven’t done the action required to light the bulb when playing?

I know this sounds kind of dumb. But just keep very lightly tugging/lifting it and that’s the easiest way to find the screws holding it.
If I remember correctly it gets relatively tricky around the corners of the cabinet

I dissabled the plastic ramp and some other things, but forget to note where this piece goes.
Anyone?

I couldn’t find that 1 on mine. Posting just so I can see where it is when someone does find it.

It goes on the entrance to the right ramp. Can just make it out in this picture.

No wonder I can’t find it. Mines missing!

I found where it should be, but it was not at the ramp entrance. It do cover part of the ramp, but on the top back of the playfield, just below the "DEL" (refering to the text at the top back "DELOREAN").

#462 2 years ago

That’s probably correct. That’s just where it is on mine. I get a lot of air balls of the base of that ramp and none top left so maybe the previous owner swapped mine.

Top left curve of ramp.

Hi could anyone give me the measurements of the legs that belong on the game I'm trying to order new ones and the manual is giving me 30 1/2
But I'm assuming the front are shorter thank you,

Not shorter in the front. I’m pretty sure no one makes true DE replacement legs anymore. Believe originals were 28.5 now only make 30.5

I was worried about changing color of the game but think it looks amazing so far. Have black pinblades
And powdercoating all metal black.

I like it. Considering the movie scenes represented on the cab art both happen at night, black makes particular sense. I am curious how the pf will integrate with the black cabinet.

#472 2 years ago

Make sure you post lots of pictures when done. I like it too.

The Clock Tower frequently returning the ball right in between the flippers: bug or feature?

Sometimes it won't happen for several games and then suddenly it's responsible for all 3 drains. Frustrating way to lose.

Happens on mine. I try to nudge as the ball releases.

Fairly common.

check the ball guide between the clock tower lane and the ramp.
I noticed that my balls were getting drained more often over a long period of time. the ballguide was getting a bit loose, and i put it back as much towards the clock tower lane as possible and tightened it again. since then my ball drains got a lot less.

Where is the best place to buy a new 10k stereo potentiometer, volume control for my BTTF? I'm sick of screwing with the original one, rather replace and be done with it. Would prefer one with a similar length shaft, but doesn't really matter.

Hello Travelers. I've recently joined after reviving a seriously damaged bttf.
Turned out to be an excellent game. I really didn't think I'd like the sound that much.

Should I keep or peel the backglass sticker?
Humm mod to follow...

Hi All,

Mini post or no mini post between flippers?

Mine does not have the post, never did. I'm considering adding one.

Thx

#481 1 year ago

It’s a must in my opinion. The flippers seem really far apart and I’m not that great of a player. Luckily for me mine had a post when I bought it

If you meant the transparent sticker noting the ZZ Top Huey Lewis soundtrack", then Yes! Absolutely. The majority of games don't have this original sticker any longer.

Another thing that had me thinking is that the manual shows microswitches with some levers as flipper buttons actuator, my machine has normal leaf switches. Also the flippers coils are different than what's written in the manuals. My coils are 5020-30 while manuals say 5020-20.
I am certain that no one replaced coils or switch mechanism. I wonder if anyone else has this conflict and what's the story behind it.

Anyone got a list of unobtainable parts for this pin, things to look for or ask about when purchasing one? I appreciate any insight. We all know a new BTTF is coming but I am getting impatient...lol. Thanks!

#492 1 year ago

What about the plastics?

#493 1 year ago

Repro plastics are available at Absolute Pinball up here so someone in the States should have them too.

I recently got a BttF and really wanted a Flying DeLorean in the machine that appears togo back in time with the game’s audio cues. I haven’t been able to find anyone who makes these so I made my own out of a Weller toy, some LEDs and a piece of metal that I bent. I can post some pictures if anyone is interested in making their own

How did you do the blue lighting? I have the "return to 85" vehicle in mine, but it's not wired up for lighting.

Mine wasn’t wired either. I found 3mm wide ice blue 12v LED strip .5 meters long on eBay. Had tocome from China so be prepared to wait a couple weeks. I had to file down the edges of the car’s front bumper where it meets the fenders to have room to tuck the strip in. I wired it into the flasher socket of the top left flasher because that is the one that activates with the time travel sound. I drilled out the headlights and flux capacitor and hot glued white LED tinnies in there which I tied into the GI using a Comet Matrix Bulb and used Comet Matrix dimmers on both sets of wires coming out of the car because both sets of lights are crazy bright at full power.

Your car looks bigger than mine. You may need 4 or 5mm wide strip. Better measure your bumper first
