I recently bought a BTTF. Initially had it upstairs and all controlled lamps functioned. I thought I was going to take off the head to move it downstairs, however, some of the power supply wires were soldered. So, I replaced all the plugs and moved it downstairs as one piece. Fired it up downstairs and now, none of the controlled lamps work. Checked the fuse. Found one that appeared to be blown, replaced it, still nothing. Double and triple checked plugs against pictures and the manual. Nothing. Tested the bridge rectifiers and they appeared to be good. The game functions, however, none of the scoring lights come on. It is hard to believe all the transistors that control these lamps went bad at the same time. Any ideas?

I think it could be CN1 on the power supply board. Someone hacked it because it was burnt. I cut the wires (and applied labels) when I was planning on removing the head. I checked voltage at the sockets in question and I am reading 20 some volts. I think it is only suppose to be 6 volts. Did I burn out all the LEDs? Does anyone know if CN1 has the power for the controlled lamps? The three wires that were hacked were all grey. Details are on page 38 in the manual, however, it is not legible in my photo copy or PDF (I even used magnifiers)! So, it is possible I connected two wires incorrectly.

Ok guys, back to square one. The grey white and grey wire that has wire nuts is 9v for the display and cpu. The grey green doesn’t appear to do anything different when connected or not. I’m getting 32v at CN4 which you can see at the bottom of the power supply. Any ideas? I noticed the power supply only has two screws, could that be it? I get 32v at CN4 blue wires with or without the grey wire connected.

Thanks mikat11 I swear I checked the fuse on the rectifier and replaced when I started, but that was it. A big thanks to GRUMPY for his help as well!
