if you can measure the hex extenders for me that would be great !
Here are some pics of my set up. The two bottom hex extenders are 1 5/8" and the one on the top that the cross plastic mounts to is 2 1/4"

Nope..im gonna measure my posts right now to compare with Colson's #'s and remove that mylar spacer i made. See if i can get it to fit. I have a friend coming over to help with opto problems tonight so ill let ya know how it goes sooon!
I got 'er done! I ended up moving the wire ramp forward( a small amount) by loosening and re-tightning where it mounts.(pic#4) I also slid the plastic base of the coffin forward where the screws will no longer line up. (Pic#3)took my mylar bracket off and used original mount plate. Tried a ball on the ramp and it passes by fine!(pic#1,2) The screw to hold down the 3-D cover dont line up but i'm sure it will stay put.

Thanks for posting this. I was attempting to have everything line up and be secure. 30fathomdave didn't state that he used the same method as you. I'll give it a try on mine.
I didn't tighten the two screws (into hexheads) under the 3-D cover down super tight..left a bit of play in em. Also wondering if 30fathomDave left the 4 screws out of the coffin base & one on top of the cover as none of mine lined up. I dont mind mine like this..its not going to move i dont think.

That eBay link shows the speaker panel with a RED screen...not the CLEAR one needed for BSD..**EDIT **never mind! I see it only has a red film! Which is removable for the colordmd .
The clear window can be ordered from http://www.classic-arcades.com/STORE/index.html directly or from their eBay store. I don't see BSD listed but I'm sure they'll whip one up for you. LED is a bit cheaper but much more vivid. I'm thinking of going this route.

Yeah, the original is a coating of some sort that can't be removed. I've seen posts where some have tried (with a chemical) and ended up messing up their panel, though I've seen what appeared to be a success that prompted that as well (perhaps from a similar coated panel that wasn't a BSD?).

This is what I was referring to (confirms it wasn't a BSD as I wasn't sure). Somewhere I saw that someone tried to do this to their BSD panel and ended up with undesired results, but I wouldn't stop anyone from giving it a shot if they so chose

Not sure why anybody would go to all that trouble given that the new panel with a clear window is only $100.

Yeah Paul, I thought about it. I was looking at those at Pinfest last year, but I wasn't that impressed with the panel for BSD. Plus I have speaker lights in mine and several other things, and I'm going to add some spots to brighten it up. Not sure I want the thing to glow like it's radioactive.

For some bits, but it still looks great overall. At first I thought it may bother me, but it doesn't in the slightest. Dee-Bow and I both have that version pictured and I doubt anyone would say they look bad.
