Hi you all.

i was searching for an plastic cover, that was missing in my machine.
since i could not find one, i have designed my own version.

it is a 3D-printed plastic cover, wich covers the back of the BSD tombstone.
it has the same cross-shaped form.

normaly there is a black cover, wich does not fits very well. there is a wide gap between the outer contoures of the front, and the black cover on it..

so, i came with this:

i had ordered a new decal set for the coffin.
the old ones, i have cleaned and refurbed, to use on this plastic.
there is a bit of colour difference between the coffin and the new tombstone-cover.
maybe i will replace them later with some new ones.

i would like to know, if there would be more interested BSDracula owners, who would be interested in this custom design.
i could order some more 3-d prints, and new (non-faded )decals.

Looks nice, I'm interested. How about making a version with background color - primarily medium to darkish gray, rather than white. More of an aged look.

this is what the Original cover looks like on ipdb.org:

I'd be interested in one as well. Looks like a great fitment.

#6 3 years ago

Looks great! Much better than the original.

#7 3 years ago

I might be interested...would like to see if I could make it work with the wooden box dracula mod...I'd be glad to test fit one for you to see if it would be something all the guys that bought that mod could use

Hi Morpheus,

This is a very nice mod that you have created for BSD. BSD tombstone shrouds have never been available via the pinball after-market parts market so this is very welcome. Your custom BSD tombstone shroud is a significant improvement over the ill-fitting original BSD tombstone shroud which looks like ass.

I will definitely be in for one if you offer these for sale complete with the decal. It would be great if you could work with Pinsider 'ulmpharmd' regarding his request to make your custom tombstone shroud fit properly with the custom coffin mod created by Pinsider 'pinball_customs' (Brock Hemming).

Nice job Morpheus. I was going to work on this very thing when I had time. Looks perfect.

#10 3 years ago

Nice work, finally someone fixed that ugly cover!

#11 3 years ago

Count me in. Just bought a BSD I thought that hideous part was just wrong on my game. Didn't realize it always looked so bad.

#12 3 years ago

count me in too - I also just got my game

#13 3 years ago

I'd like one. I have the original cover, but it was always so ill fitting, I made a stainless steel cover similar to what you have 3D printed. However, I like the look of yours with the decal much better.

#15 3 years ago

I'd be in for one

*edit* and I'd go with the original fit.

#16 3 years ago

one for me please

#17 3 years ago

Count me in for one! The original on mine is missing and I have never been able to find a replacement. Nice work!!

#18 3 years ago

Way better than the original I'd be interested

#24 3 years ago

I'd like one.

#25 3 years ago

Yep, I'll take one for sure, as long as it's not like $200 or something silly.

#26 3 years ago

I'm interested. Very cool.

#27 3 years ago

I'd also be interested in one if not two of these.

#28 3 years ago

I'm in for one depending on cost.

#29 3 years ago

I'm in as well, nice work.

hi everybody.

a friend of mine said: post that tombstone MOD on Pinside.. haha.
my name is Jeroen, i am from Holland.
i am overwelmed by all the replys, you guys are sending.
i am not yet prepared for mass production yet..haha!
but it will work out i guess
and then there is this issue, wich i still need to tackle:
i have replaced my old BSD plastic set with a new one (ordered at Ministry Of Pinball)
the old, Original Tombstone cover has also been replaced for a new one.
when i was making the drawing for the 3D cover, i noticed there are a few minor contour differences between the old and new models.
so.. i made this model for the NEW plastic set, since i have this set installed in my machine
it is a pretty close fit, because the cover fits all around the outer contours of the tombstone front plastic.
i can also make a model, wich will fit on the old / Original tombstone.
so please let me know who would be interested in a Original, or repro plastic version..
and then there's the next question, the repro plastic set, i ordered at MOP, is that the same 'brand' and fit, as every other repro plastic set sold worldwide?

Well, least now you know there is interest .

Nearly anything on BSD is "in demand", and any improvement to the Ron Jeremy coffin will almost always get a resounding "YES!!!"

Oh, I'm interested in in an "original fit" version.

#33 3 years ago

I'm in 100%!!! Original fit for me as well. Your design is so simple and stream lined and I love it. I never understood that design....and even thought mine was bent up until I searched and realized it was factory that way. I just assumed that's where the rats and bats hid until the modes were started....behind that coffin cubby hole

#34 3 years ago

Also in, please.

#35 3 years ago

I'd like one please.

#36 3 years ago

Interested.

I'm wondering if it can be made semi transparent so it can be illuminated? I know it has decals all over but maybe there's something there...

#37 3 years ago

I'm in. Will have to get back to you on whether my tombstone is original or repro though.

#38 3 years ago

I'm in for the pinball customs version if available.

#41 3 years ago

Was the original designer drunk?

This is a huge improvement and how it should have been all along.

#42 3 years ago

Looks great! I'm in for the repro plastic version.

#43 3 years ago

I'd be in for one.

#45 3 years ago

I'm in !!

Holy Crap - Im in

#47 3 years ago

+1!

#48 3 years ago

Ik zou graag ook een exemplaar willen voor de nieuwe plastic set

#49 3 years ago

Consider putting the design on Thingiverse. Where did you get the decals?
Would it be possibly to print the decals into the plastic with a multicolor printer?

#50 3 years ago

i am in, with the old version.
