Ok I picked up a bsd early this morning and thought it just had dead batteries but still its resetting when power is turned off and on .Also on the battery holder there was a little corrosion on one of the bottom pads and after cleaning it, noticed its smaller than the others . im assuming its not getting good contact which is causing the memory issue?.
Whats the eaisist way to check/ fix this or just get it well enough to test to make sure its the issue ? Thax

Pull the cpu out and grab a meter and see if battery power is getting onto the board.

I'd remove the battery holder to be sure you don't have corrosion underneath it.

Ill check but it was just a very tiny bit of corrosion .would one bad pad stop the power from getting to the board?

One pad not working stop the POWER ? Ummmm...............yeah. Then you don't have a complete circuit.

Tiny bit doesn't show you what lies beneath. Better check than be sorry.

Ok I figured its the issue basically the battery just had a tiny bit on pad but no where else and game plays fine just wont keep memory. Is there a way to do something with a remote holder so I don't have to replace the original holder? Thax for helping

Wise decision.

Install anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminator and don't use batteries at all...

At the very least install a remote holder to get the batteries off the board. If the board has seen battery leakage, as it sounds though, it needs to be dealt with or you will have future problems.
