So I just waxed my BSD and now about 1/3 of my castle lock shots derail after passing the diverter.
Game is level and at about 7 degrees. Ball flys off into the pops and another ball is fed into the trough since the game thinks it's locked.
Anyone else experience this and come up with a good fix?

So another only one who's experienced this?

are both prongs of the wire form in the holder near the diverter? is the ramp bolted down to the plastic above the 3 center targets? joe

also you could post the problem in the bram stokers Dracula club. joe

Yes and yes.

Good idea. Thanks!

I've had this issue when my wireform was misadjusted but not from excess speed from waxing. Have you tried to adjust it?

Mine started doing this after I replaced the coil for the right flipper with a little bit stronger one. I have not tried to adjust anything as of yet. It only happens if I make a perfect shot up the ramp from a moving ball coming down the outlane.

I don't see any way of adjusting it other than adding a washer to where it's connected by the center targets. I would think that this would actually make it worse as it would lessen the bank of the curve.
Previous owner said he never had the issue but I don't think he ever cleans his games.

Problem has been resolved. Small piece of gray foam tape on diverter. No more derails while heading to castle lock. Foam slows the ball down enough to keep it on the habitrail.

Thanks for posting I have had that problem on a few occasions, nice to know a solution.

I've had this happen before too. Only after a fresh wax and game is playing extra quick. Never as frequently as 1/3 of shots though. Only a few here and there

Build a berm with a slight bend in the wire form, will slow the ball down perfectly.
