My BSD developed a problem the other day while playing it. Ive searched through a bunch of posts and haven’t found anything quite like this yet. I’ve got an error with all castle optos not working (53,54, and 57) and the shooter and castle release solenoids firing one after the other, similar to a ball search. Those go off continuously, weather a game is playing or not. I guess those going off is related to the castle optos not working?
As far as the optos, I don’t see a direct wire connection or switch matrix correlation between them looking at the schematics. The 10 opto board has been replaced with the Homepin version. The castle optos use different LM339’s and no other problems show up on the test report, so I would rule that out as an issue. Not sure if I should look to the cpu board for the issue or just check wire continuity downstream from there. The game also has a rottendog cpu board replacement.
