There was once a sniglet (for anyone who remembers those) whose definition was: "any child who enjoys the box a toy was packaged in, more than the toy itself"
Sure wish I can remember the word now...

Hmmmm, got me. But, I know I enjoyed playing in the box!

Quoted from MrBally:Haven't some of those sold for a pretty penny (with packing inserts included)?
Yep love them too. And those kind of boxes can be expensive and they better include something for my inserts.
I would of kept the box
If you sold one of your games and shipped it in that box you could prank the buyer thinking this isn't the game I bought. Ect you can do a lot of things with a box
Quoted from MrBally:Haven't some of those sold for a pretty penny (with packing inserts included)?
I thought about it, but I had to open the game in the garage, and didn't want to slide the game out on it's bottom in there. So, I cut the box open as recommended. if I could have gotten the box downstairs and opened up there, I probably would have tried to flip it.
Quoted from smokey_789:Frame it!
Actually, not a bad idea. Get the right spot cut out, might look cool.
Quoted from Rick471:Stern boxes can be sold for $150..depending on the serial number
I was offered 250 for the box my BK came in, I still have it.
Quoted from MrBally:I saved this from a Gottlieb Wedge Head box in the mid '70's. I wonder what I could get today if I would have saved the whole box?
That is way cooler than a Stern box. I'd love to have something like that to hang on my wall. You're not sellin are ya?

Back in the day when pinball crates were actually crates!

Don't intend to sell as there's a lot of sentiment in this stuff. I've been involved with pinball repair since 1976 (so, as long or longer than Jack, by the way) to make money. I learned on a machine I had since 1972.
Quoted from smokey_789:Are we framing our NIB sales receipts too?
Somewhere around here I have the Sandler Distributing receipt for a Bally Rolling Stones backglass. $22.00 as I recall.
I should get that framed.
LTG : )
Quoted from BradKreisler:Ive got a SMB box in the basement. Its worth something?
Yea, it's probably worth more than the whole game.
