Ive got #2 hardware (nut and bolt). After I drill out rivets I secure replacement plastic with that. Or replace the whole cage if you got it.

Quoted from boilerman:you could just replace the whole cage..
I have a few spares
Either of those suggestions would work in this instance, and I think I have spare parts. With a Target Alpha that has this issue, it is not nearly as easy. It looks to be a hour or two job, since you really need to strip a lot of the back box out for this. I may use Kens suggestion for that one.
Thanks for the help.
is it a 4 0r 5 reel cage? I think I have both. I do believe they come apart for easy/cheaper shipping
Quoted from pinhead52:Scavenge...or hit somebody up like me or Boilerman.
< makes mental note > thanks ken...
Double mental note.
I have a broken one on my Flip a Card.
I may be begging either a spare retainer or a whole cage.

Quoted from boilerman:beg away
That's right, we have all kinds of connections.
Both PA boys and my dad was a gold seal boiler guy
If somebody gets a whole cage from Boilerman send me the the old cage and i'll scavenge the unbroken. The 60's stuff is usually broken but I do have a couple of guides yet. And I'll provide the #2 nut/bolt if somebody needs.
Quoted from ccotenj:Just out of curiosity... are the retainers available? Or do you gotta scavenge those?
Sounds like an idea for someone with a 3D printer to me!

My buddy just parted out a 4 player game...lots to scavenge from...
Thanks for the offers. I'm 90% sure I can scavenge what I need on site. My curiosity was around what other options are available, or what other people are doing. As I mentioned, the Target Alpha requires major surgery to replace the part.
Quoted from TomGWI:Not a huge EM buy. If it is broken, what problem will arise?
The score reel can move back until the something (usually the wire bundle) constrains it.
